while using sms, while creating your message is the space where you input your text expands when you have a long message to write? and is it easy to back read or review what you have already entered?

But I don't think that the X10mini and pro will going to have v2.2 simply because of hardware limitation such as ram. But then again updating it to v2.1 is good enough with the help of enabling it to be rooted. You won't really be getting much from X10 mini/pro with such modest specs unlike their big brother.

It's a really good phone, but the OS is still Android OS 1.6 (it's old)
Can upgrade the OS?

I have tried both the phones and went on with the mini.
Mini pro's keypad is not comfortable.So whats the use of it?
The phone is heavy and the battery backup is too low.
My x10 mini stays on for 2 days with moderate to heavy use.
I have disabled background data, GPS, Bluetooth, wifi, Data traffic...
If you on data traffic, it stays for a reasonable 1 and half day....
My advice go for X10 mini....

Any news on when Android 2.2 will be released for this phone? Any way to get it before SE release their version or must we wait for their release? Thanks!

Bought it today from a Carphone Warehouse shop in UK, really impressed with it so far. Hopefully the battery wont be as bad as some have commented. Touch screen is great and the qwerty keyboard is brilliant, in fact the reason I got this was purely because of the qwerty keyboard.

way too late, already completely lost interest in this crappy phone. i mean, microsoft doesn't know, it's understandable, but sony ericsson? this phone would "in market" 6 months ago, now it is a brand new generation and other companies have already gone through 2 product cycles. too little, too late.

Bluetooth functionality doesn't depend on the manufacturer wether would they include it or not. The restriction lies on what version the Android OS was. On version 1.6, bluetooth transfer is really a no go-go.

i have the x10 mini -
i have played with the pro and was debating whether to get it but it does have a slightly reduced battery life,
my x10 mini does over a day easy usually only charge it every 2 days. plus the pro is quite allot heavier,
so im quite happy with the standard mini but the OS is amazing so which ever one anyone chooses they are gonna be happy.
going from one qwerty phone back to an alphanumeric touch screen was soo much easier than the qwerty funnily enough lol

I have this little beast :)
Battery 970mAh - 1 day (~ 24 hours, but this is after a second charge) i am still playing with it so it is above average usage (mostly using wi-fi and gprs, 20km of navigation(it is nice, unfortunately only 30 days free).
Phone is wonderful, fast OS, nice QWERTY keyboard, camera is nice but i was expecting a little more, here are some samples http://77.79.12.237/x10mini/
GPS reception is great(takes lees than 1 min).
One thing concerns me. When keyboard closed, display part can be moved for 1mm easily before it needs more effort to be opened, when it released it springs back to place. This little easy movement may be felt when just picking or handling the phone, it drives me crazy. I hope this is normal for slider phone, i am too paranoid about new stuff i buy.
It is great small phone, only a battery is a shame. In the shop i was shown a sticker for a battery which expands it's life (up to 200%) :) maybe it's a myth, but a couple of hours more would be great, maybe I will give a try some day.
