    You're right about that Jon.
However, its not final yet, so there's still hope and as gsmarena says: "Disclaimer. We can not guarantee that the information on this page is 100% correct. Read more"
They still have 2 months. Simple tweaks can (sometimes) do miracles. Either way, i'm waiting till the end of May to make my descision.
All in all its all that I currently need in a private phone.
    - great snapshots
    - great OS
    - physical keyboard
    - capacitive touchscreen
    - its SE... (however, I find myself liking HTC more and more, that Touch 2 design is so nice, if only it had android)

I've seen the device has screen width as 314 (without changing the zoom) on the browser but not 240 as mentioned in the specification.

Is it mentioned wrong in the spec or its the wrong firmware which is causing the resolution set to 314.

Thanks for your time in advance.

Jack, 23 Mar 2010Don't you just hate it when people jump to conclusions with... moreUnfortunately though Jack, in comparison to C902 (which has 4hrs battery on 3G, 9hrs on 2G), this phone max's out at 3hrs on 3G and 4hrs on 2G!

At best this means it means it will last just under half of your C902, so 2 days. However more realistically (owing to the fact this is a 'smartphone') it will last no more than a day. Just compare to other smartphones who's batteries are advertised to last longer and still onl last 1-2 days!

Still so annoyed by this. SE if you're reading please sort this out!

I saw this video of the interface on you tube, it's pretty fast considering the small screen the cpu had to work with. And that's a winning formula for me. I just hope the price is competetive enough. 330 EUR is a bit steep, SE should consider what consumers can choose from (Samsung, LG & Nokia) based on this price range. Remember the Nokia 5800? Pricing was it's key to success. Full range of features at a modest price. If only SE can afford to emulate that...

But yes, you are right, SE has good battery's, I bought the C902 right when it came out and i'm still using it till this day with around 5 days of standby time (about 20 smses and around 20 minutes of calling a day) which is like heaven after having to deal with a sammy D900 and a Nokia N82. Seeying the size this X10 has, the battery seems OK, not great, but OK.
I think I will try this one. Never had a sliding qwerty (azerty in my case). And the size is just classy :).
PS. To the people who say its a ladies phone, you've got it wrong, its a phone which ladies find cute, all the more reason to get it. Just don't pick pink, that's ladylike though ;).

Sony Ericsson was in its prime when it had the P series phones back in 03-05. After a bad experience with the experia x1, This x10 should have came with android 2.1 or future 2.2 not the obsolete 1.6. I still have hope for them though.

And BTW, Sony Ericsson's high ends uses Li-Polymer batteries compared to Nokia's standard Li-Ion. And just look at their n900. It weights 181 grams!!

why not even one clamshell model never has autofocus- that is a big mistake - AUTOFOCUS MUST BE IN ALL SONYERICSSON MODELS - then SE will be no.1-- a friendly advice for SE managment - in a body of W710 put camera 3.2mpx-autofocus-xenon flash- led light -wlan - and you get the best phone in the world - and why volume key is no longer shortcut for letters when typing sms

SE has very big problem with housing quality... it's nightmare for me. I had X1, I change twice my housing and finally I left phone to operator. Now I have HD2- it's +10.
