I found this phone again in one of my drawers and was quite excited like a kid as i missed typing sms messages with a keyboard as i am currently using samsung s7e & j7. I transferred my j7 sim back to the x10mp and charged it and voila, it is up and working, although it is just for sms and calls as this is what my back up subscription is for and the battery life still lasts me for 2 days. i could no longer update the applications though, but id rather access apps and web through my data phone.
the x10mp still serves it's purpose for a secondary phone, battery life is still good (considering that it is almost 7yrs old and still lasts for 2days), small size which saves a lot of space compared to my j7, plus the physical keyboard which brings me back to those blackberry days where life is not that complicated and very basic with just sms and call and a bit of bbm(for the BB phone).
sorry to be too excited with this obsolete phone, just so happy like a kid finding and getting reunited with an old toy...

Have this phone. Love it. I was using cynogen and modern Xperia ui on it but returned to stock. Unfortunately no more market support. Facebook, YouTube app not working anymore and Internet browsing is a pain. Using it every few months while newer phones sent on warranty repair.

Using it in 2017! :D And still i like it , of course, i dont use smartphones too often ,but i can call, listen to music,browse 9gag, FB .. That's enough for me.. And its alive after many falls

I have purchased a new battery about half a year's ago. I can't charge the phone again. I love the size of the phone. The Wi-Fi does not work either. The worst phone in my life!

I have this phone. Wifi is not working anymore. Tried 2 MiniCM custom ROMs (9 and 10) and still not working. Is it only because of the ROMs or is it dead?

lance, 21 Oct 2015How do I download watsapp guysSony stopped official upgrades at Android 2.1 on this phone, WhatsApp probably needs a later edition. One way to get it is to install a CUSTOM ROM which supports this and other apps. But first you must acquire ROOT ACCESS to your phone :)
All this takes a lot of time and a lot of DUCKDUCKGOing!

This phone has led my to decline sony and sony ericsson from my future buying brand list. After a couple of months it lags in the call log while scrolling down and it does even after a recovery. I am facing similar problems in a sony xperia u. I believe that sony is making a defective firmware and provides with problematic updates in order for consumers to buy sony's newer products

My first smartphone!
Loved this phone and used it for years , very tiny and stylish , the physical qwerty is pure heaven , nice camera on it as well for non professional pictures , still using it in 2015 as secondary phone.
PS: you can upgrade it to lolipop via XDA developers ;-)

Great little phone. If you come across one don't discard it. Poorly outdated alas but if all you want is a phone to phone with and some easy software like GPS map and/or Whatsapp, this is your phone. Keyboard makes texting nice easy, simple and fast.
I had mine for 5 years and not until now is it showing signs of wear and tear. Both on the outside as on the inside....

worst mobile.. Dont buy this. stuck always & getting restarted. Even if we give to service center, it is having same prob.. Never prefer this
