        SK17i: I just purchased this phone a week ago and am quite glad to find that skype video works so great on this phone! And even the front camera is super clear!
        As far as battery is concerned, I use the phone for downloading stuff, playing games all day out and still am left with40-45% of battery which is not at all poor and even if I have to charge it more often, then why not?? I charge my laptop every 10 hours then why not phone??!!! Its not a big issue. The phone is quite user friendly, home screens look good, especially with the live wallpapers! Other features like 4 corner menu, wifi/3G tethering, GPS, all work great! I got this phone for my girl friend who lives out of India and we are happy to see that skype works great on the phone and we would be able to see each other even on the go!

        I will be purchasing Xperia Neo V for myself this Diwali ;)

              60% Battery improvement tips for X10 mini/pro users:

              Folks, here are some great tips to improve your mini smarties power by upto 60%.

              Basic Step:
              - Turn off the Bluetooth and Wifi whenever not in use.
              - Turn off the Location services by:
              Going to 'Settings'->'Location & Security'->
              and uncheck 'Use Wireless networks' and 'Use GPS satellites'
              (I am assuming that you don't use this things much. However, when required, just turn them on.)

              - Lower the display brightness by:
              Going to 'Settings'->'Sound and Displays' and uncheck 'Orientation' (If you don't require the auto orientation)
              Also set the 'Brightness' to minimum. (First, you might find it so dim, but you'll start liking it

              gradually...lol)

              MoST IMPORTANT PART:

              In almost all android smartphones, 3G system is turned on by default, which consumes almost double power. So we've

              to turn it off manually.

              - Goto 'Settings'->'Wireless & Network'->'Mobile Networks'->'Network Mode'
              Here, choose the option 'GSM only' rather than the 'GSM/WCDMA preffered'

              Most of you guys might not use 3G service, hence turn off the unnecessary system running.
              Even FOR 3G USERS, you can switch on the 3G system whenever you plan to download big files fast. However, just for

              browsing purpose, you can use the 'Opera Mini' browser in 2G mode which gives you almost the same browsing speed as

              in 3G mode.

              THIS HELPS ME AND I HOPE IT WILL HELP WITH YOUR POWER ISSUE AS WELL!!! ENJOY!

              WORD OF ADVICE!!!

              I don't encourage using various apps like Task/Process Killer/Monitor because those apps consumed more CPU cycles

              hence more power while performing the background monitoring of processes and services.

                        I did post my opinion, but it was in Afrikaans. Don't see my comments. Nice phone, but very disgusted in Battery life. What will we do during the coming Power failures. I will keep the phone, but will get a Nokia in case of Emergencies.

                                I'll get the xperia mini pro when I get a new job! this phone is ok, but didn't really meet my expectations with it, if they would create an update for this phone that will resolve it's battery issues. I can then rate it 9/10. (the remaining 1% still goes for the fake scratch resistant screen) If I could only sue SonyEricsson for their false adds... tsk tsk...

                                  I've had this phone for about 3 weeks now, I'm learning to like it, though I must admit I'm one of the very surprised users of SE phones when I got this phone, I initially liked almost everything with it esp the hardware, looks very smart and very compact, has a solid built, loved the keyboard, transition to diff screens is also smooth, almost perfect, but the battery sucks big time, 1st day lasted leass than 9 hrs, got it charged, next day, lasted less than 12 hours with very few tasks done, just few texts, few mins in calls few internet via wifi, following days are the same, found out in some forums about this phone I wasn't alone, and found some advices to boost battery life. dloaded app killer and juice defeder w/c dramatically extended the phone's battery life, also got a little adv fr sony's video on youtube abt prolonging battery life, got the power control in one of the home screens, now it can last a whole day of NORMAL use, meaning very few internet, some texting and few mins in calls. I would rate it 7/10. :)
