What exactly do you have to do to extend the battery life of this phone because i charged it up last night to the fullest but in the morning its half gone. i don't think putting the phone on standby takes that much out of the battery. Please help so i wouldn't have to charge every night. i want the battery to at least last me 3 days.

I hav been using this phone in uk for a month/ if u want a compact phone u cannot complain about the size of the screen as i find the handset very light an compact / screen quality is very good an the amount of functions on such a small device is amazing/ very easy to navigate with on screen corner icons etc and before people start to put people off with silly figures and numbers that no1 really uses in everyday life, i wud say im very fussy about phones and if u want a small compact phone this is the 1 / BUT i wud admit the battery is not that bad, but bad enough so turn off all uneeded apps and wirelss gps etc and it will work much better/ i wud recommend it as the biga phones ike htc and Nokia n8 are huge in comparison. ps iv bin stickin to sony ericssons for years!

thank God for one time the term "delaying" had a good effect on me... lol

i would have bought this phone
admitting it that this phone is a awesome phone except its battery performance, i didnt care about that much .... i would have carried the charger around lol.....

but after hearing its not going to get android 2.2 and sony's attitude towards their customers ...i came to a conclusion .... GOOD BYE SONY ERICSSON(i really didnt want to say this but they made me)..... was a huge fan ....not any more .....

i even kicked my friend's nuts for you .... but now i am going to apologize to him

I have made an extensive research on this phone and here is what i conclude from it :

                          1. Display : Brilliant and crisp (4 out of 5). Although it is QVGA don't expect anything less from it.

                          2. Sound : Great, although with only one speaker (4 / 5). The speaker at times feel a bit more "trebeled"..but good most most music lovers.Bundled headphones are good (not great coz expected something more from sony).

                          3. User Interface : The default SE interface is good (3 / 5)but its not the best coz for me it limits customization (only 4 corners in home screen is not enough for me). Tried installing ADW launcher and Launcher pro and found the latter to fit all my needs and will give 5 / 5 to launcher pro.personally i did not like ADW launcher.

                          4. Bluetooth : U need to download the freee app Bluetoooth file transfer and upgrade the OS to 2.1 to get the most out of bluetooth. (4 / 5).

                          5. Processor : 600 MHZ is good for this price (at least better than 528 MHZ of HTC Wildfire) will give 4 / 5 ...but still games like NFS Shift lags occassionally and thts what i hate the most while playing games.Raging thunder anyways runs great in it but anyways its not NFS afterall.

                          6. Internal memory : 3/5. You would occassionally find your internal memory getting full if you install many apps. The only solution is a 2.2 update while will allow the apps to store in SD card by default.

                          7. Screenwidth : (4/5) You opted for this one because it is portable so now you cannot complain about its screenwidth atleast but would really had been better with a slightly bigger screen so that i could have played "Real soccer" properly as it's two extreme right controm buttons go out of my screen and i cannot use them. Same thing happens with many gameloft games.

                          8. Camera : (4/5) pictures taken in lighted area are really great and there's where you see the beauty of 5mp which fails to boast in non well lit environments. I did not find the flash useful ever which only spoilt the pictures by giving a white foggy effect. Plus forget about any optical zoom and it is waste to add digital zoom.

                          9. Picture gallery viewer : (3/5) Although the picture rendering deservers 5/5 still i give this 3 because of the bad programming logic it uses to scan the memory and generate thumbnails reference index. This default gallery widget would have been great if it allowed customization and could have been even better if it was restricted to a fixed picture folder rather than scanning the whole memory and then FAULTILY arranging pictures as per date taken (yes although it tries to arrange ur pictures as per the date taken still it makes many wrong groups). I downloaded a free picture manager and viewer called Just Pictures which does a neat and decent job by ordering pictures as per my folder (just what i want).

                          10. Sensors : (5 / 5) The accelerometer and the ambient light sensor does a just what it is intended to do in the best possible way.

                          11. GPS : (4/5) Takes a bit long time to connect to satellite (of course when outdoors and very little chance indoors) but once connected gives quite accurate results.Works great with the latest Google maps 3d (ver 5) and also with R Maps.

                          12. Battery :(2/5) The most disheartening part of this beatifully useful gadget is its battery which is just 930 mAh.All its close competitors have at least 1100 and most of them 1300 but why is this devoid of the 4 figure mAh.Expect just what you canm expect from a 930 mAh battery...nothing more and nothing less.

                          13. Music manager : ( 4/5) I always hated tag based music managers but thats what you get in most portable music players. The default music player in Xperia X10 mini pro is no different and there is no option for folder based music management. But thanks to the Android market the "Mort Player" came as a blessing to me and blessed me with all i wanted...a simple folder based music player and lots more (5 / 5) to this app.

                          14. QWERTY keyboard : (5/5) Compact and powerful...just two words are enough to describe it. Well spaced keys with great response.

                          15. Screen protectors : Not bundled...so u need to buy them as soon as you buy this phone.

                          16. Leather cover : Not bundled.

                          17. Colors : Only black.

                          18. Powerful battery replacement : Not available till now but SE sells some portable battery chargers...can have a look into it in the SE accessories section.
