and go to settings > languages and keyboard.....
there you can change the type of keyboard....

well. from my experience with my x10 mini pro. the battery will last longer when u charge it about 1.5 hours or more. obviously it shows 100% battery full within only less than 1 hours. but i think its fake. if i charged my x10 mini pro with that time (fake), my battery doesn't last longer. hope it helps.

Apps that I have on my X8:
Astro File Manager - for file management, .apk installation, move/cut/copy/paste files from diff folders
adw launcher - so you can install multiple widgets per home screen (i've got adw launcher ex, better performance though)
Winamp - to create/manage playlist on your X8; you can also use meridian player (both are free)
arcmedia - to play almost all types of video formats (tried and tested .avi files)
Documents to go - create/modify office documents (docs, spreadsheet, ppt). and also serves as pdf viewer

Just check chinese keyboard settings and you will be able to put it back to non-qwerty. No need to install handcent sms or any keyboard software on ur X8

Hi guys. I want to get a numerical keyboard for texting. So i've installed handcent sms and also handcent keyboard. I've also installed all the language packages available for handcent. I can get predictive (T9) text input but only in english. And i've already enabled the Portuguese language package. Does anyone have a solution? Or maybe someone found a different way to get alphanumerical keyboard with predictive input...

just bought this phone on 1st of jan.
upgrading from sony p1i to x8!
Sound=sound quality is good and loud enough.the default music player is average,always theres an android market to find better music player with equalizer!
Camera=camera quality is poor,no zoom.but video quality is nice and high FPS.can take sports video clearly.
UI=simple and easy to use UI.Im new to Android and i can easily understand this UI.One things i can say is Android Rocks!better than iphone cos with android.we have widget we can put at our homescreen.just that for x8 were limited to 1 widget to one homescreen..
the best parts of Android is Android Market.its comes in every android phone u buy.just find internet connectivity wifi/3g/gprs and u can download as many apps and games as u want.just to limited of the market is some apps are intended for certain region only.and there comes ANDROID MARKET ENABLER for you able to get apps and games from the whole world.
Really worth it Mid-range android phone.

To improve battery life disable GPS navigation using satellites...Disable net when not needed....
Download Advanced task manager from Market to kill unwanted running apps...

I already upgraded my OS to Android 2.1, but my keypad turned qwerty even if it's portrait mode. I found difficulty in typing because the keys were too small. I already install Chinese keyboard but it's not functioning. Any advise Guys... please...

- Battery Issue.
I've downloaded Advance Task killer and Tweak the phone a lot, (lowered brightness level to 30-40%, Turned of Data Transfer / Closed Unwanted Applications).
But still battery life drains so much. Help ....
I also noticed that battery heats up while charging. (phone is turned off)
