Andres, 16 Dec 2010Hi there, Mr. Sobremisana. I also in progress updating Xper... moreyes it takes 3 hrs to upgrade. do as sony tells for upgrade. first download the software. do it in parts also but after 90% be continuos.

@t last i bot my x8.....itz really gr8 fone wid screen doing fantastic......@$ alwayz $e rocks.....I'm happy wid itz performance.......eager to upgrade it....Thnkq $e fr offering such fantastic fone at 13850 rs.....n though thr r mre features in othr fones.....but sony alwayz sony.......custom interface iz brilliant as htc's sence ui....n sony a status symbol.......

1) Sony-OS 2.1 Eclair, LG optimus One-2.2 Froyo
2) Sony-256RAM, optimus One-512 RAM
3)Sony-Fixed Camers(no auto Focus), optimus One-Auto Focus
4) Sony-3.0 inch HVGA Screen, optimus On-3.2 inch HVGA
and few more....
But i m using sony x8, its a good phone, good sound output in head phones and speaker too.
And there is no hanging issue. But if u see the cost LG is Cheaper. But I dont care I always prefer Sony.

Hii Sony X8 user,
Good news for x8 users, now you can backup or sync your Contacts, Calander, etc to your PC Using My Phone Explorer 1.8.0 But you have to make some settings with your x8 and My Phone Explorer Software. i.e.
My Phone Explorer Settings
Go to file-settings-select phone with Google android OS.
X8 settings
go to main menu-settings-applications-deployment-check mark on USB debugging to enable.
then connect your phone to USB port, its will ask for the drivers
(For drivers go to http://www.4shared.com/get/JA_1I9Ls/UTF-8X8drives.html) download UTF-8''X8drives.zip file, extract drivers and use for sony x8 drivers installation.
Now after installing drivers just click on sync botton.
Now Enjoy The Sync.

Anyone know how to add phone number of incoming sms to contact that already exist in the phonebook? I tap and hold a new number in Handcent SMS then Add to Contacts then select Existing contacts then continue to select the name of the related Contact why the number not signed?
