phonebook is simple...
messaging is bit complicated and camera no flash,no zoom.
browsing--excellent though no flash support(foryo update needed).
music player-basic,can't create playlist no bass..
wifi--nnot cheked till now.
bluetooth--bit complicated(normal se bluetooth is simple)..
overall x8 is a nice phone with few limitations...

Hi all,
Android 2.1 is available now for Indian market. I saw it on my phone screen while searching for the SW updates. I am going to update it after a few hours and will post my hands on experience once I done. As many people are saying, battery life is a bit low, but still manageable as compared to the screen and its functions. I have never experienced my phone getting hot while talking. This is a rumor it seems.
key board in vertical mode is difficult for bing fingers like me, but comfortable if its in horizontal.

Sony Ericsson is finally starting to push Android 2.1 (Enclair) to the Xperia X8 right now. Thirty-two batches of Eclair (Android 2.1) are already in the oven, and you need to do is easily check to see if you’re a likely candidate for upgrade by checking the back of your phone. So check what “SI-number” your Xperia X8 has and then search this page to see if it’s out yet. I’ll update the list every hour:

Just found out from the sonyericsson site that the Android 2.1 update has only one new thing to offer -BACK UP AND RESTORE APP....People who have already updated can they tell me if its true?? I mean what about the 5 home screens..multiple email a/c and stuff??

@paul im so impress about watching youtube, the timescape ui and internet surfing by using only 3g connection by network provider.. but i notice lag when switching panels.. i tried to play angry birds, it always stuck in lvl 5 up.. i read opinions about x10 mini and got interested..
