Watch out for rip-off merchants selling this phone including play dot com who are pre-selling the phone for £400+. Sony officially stated that the phone will sell for under 200Euros (£163)!!

I have waited so long for X8. Finally it will be launched by the end of september but it will be android 1.6..... Should i buy it immediately or wait a bit more for android 2.1??? Ne advice???

x10 mini for 3-6yrs old
x10 mini pro for 7-12yrs old
X8 - for 13-18yrs old
x10 - for 19-55yrs old
Yendo - 55yrs old & above with hearing impaired.

In an news from PC WORLD dated 17 Aug... It is mentioned that Xperia X8 was launched in a press conference in Bangalore. The news article says X8 along with some other models will be hitting markets in a couple of weeks and SE will be announcing the prices along side. It also says the X8 has been positioned between the X10 and the X10 Mini. Does that mean X8 price will be more than x10 mini????

Hurry up Sony, I want to buy either the X8 or LG gt540 phone with the latest Android version 2.1 and upgraded to 2.2.
I read that Sony will sell this phone for under 200 Euros (watch out for home shopping catalogues increasing the main retail price!) I hope that Sony sticks to their words!
I also like HTC's Wildfire, but a few things put me off from buying it - low quality camera, video recording 15fps (I think), screen resolution, battery life of a day, and price (it currently costs £279 (GB pounds).
Sony Ericsson X8 (costs under 200 Euros) has a better camera and video recording at 30fps. Photos on LG GT540 (costs £99 - £129 GB) is not bad, but the video recording is only 17fps.
