gropet, 13 Jan 2012i'm having trouble picking between sony ericsson aino and s... morexperia x8 is better than aino, because x8 is an android smart phone while aino is an ordinary feature phone and is not a full touch screen device. the only advantage of aino is the camera, x8 only has 3.15 mp fixed focus camera while aino has a 8.1 mp auto focus camera with Led flash.

im really having fun about this little X8 though i have the arcS and the ray and x10, i already rooted it with GingerDX 2.3.7 v021b and install the cypress dual touch manually now my X8 was as fun as the other high end ericsson phones plus its small size really fits on my pocket, since i cannot root my arcS and ray (due to the warranty) im really having fun playing with my X8 as a change roms and installing crazy things with this little sturdy device, already overclocked to 810mghz etc still its good, one thing,, im still thinking why sony put only 168 mb of ram as the whole system can accommodate more, and limited the software in 2.1 were it can handle the froyo smoothly, its more stable than the galaxy mini i recently hav, but stucked it in the drawer as my X8 was more fun than the galaxy mini. go Sony!!! i will be your fan till the end ^^

No voice commands support, no flash support, does not support adobe reader and youtube apps (youtube is inbuilt), does not connect to wifi using proxy, processing is slow, cannot move or install apps in sd card, internal memory is low so you cannot install bunch of applications, the default player uses hardware decoding scheme and thus cannot play wmv, avi formats. You have to download an app named mx video player to play them but this player also fails to play them properly if video is slightly good in quality. The problem observed is audio visual lag. Therefore in my opinion invest some more money and go for a gingerbread smartphone.

the worst battery life I have ever seen doesn't stay a whole day standby !but the other features are great except the battery !

It is very good phone and ihave very good experiance. but Hvae some disadvantages also
1. No Flash LIgh
2. No Zooming in Camera.
3. Very Low bettry backup while Wifi or Net is running.

gyorgy, 10 Jan 2012My wife was considering getting this phone until I read som... moreYes it has standard/numerical keypad with predictive text input method, but there's a disadvantage on its num keypad tho - unlike the xperia mini/mini pro's keypad - there's no long press option to type numeric characters when typing, you have to switch between Abc mode and 123 mode.
