Hi I bought the new X8,& at times it gets hanged when i try to answer the call or while listening to the music,is my handset faulty,do i have to replace it or repair,any software upgrade needs to be done..some one pls help me

The biggest risk is if u modify the kernel using custom kernel could hard brick your phone and only SE center can fix it for you.
Custom rom install failure, etc will only soft brick and easy to fix with pc companion.

It is quite a nice phone in its range. I bought it at around RM500 something and its worth the price. It is running on Android 2.1 if you don't know how to root it. Music player is just normal, camera is decent provided you install camera 360 from the Android market.Battery last around one to two days on moderately usage.
Can someone tell me how to jailbreak this phone though? Thank you.

I have been using this phone for almost an year now... Must tell everyone who are considering buying it that...you would not be happy with this device... You gotta be savvy if you want to get the best out of it(if you buy it)...as the processor is not good at all... The camera is ONLY OKAY under good lights... No zoom feature... Too many messages in the inbox will make it ****ing slow... Did not even get 2.2 update... All in all...there are better phones than this one in the market...

call cust support and they will tell u the settings
i've used aircel, airtel and Reliance net wid my phone
u just need to configure it manually,.
This is coz the settings they send are for the java phones(my guess) and sont automatically get saved in andriod..
call and tell u have SE X8 and need the settings

iv tried all other sim. neither i received any settings frm d sim. . ds set oly supports airtel for opening android market. . iv jst wasted all my money fo this stupid fishy cell. . its a waste. :(

This one is a CRAP. I read that someone here sayd: "If you'r battery runs out then you'r playing to much with it"
Of course. Either way, stop using it or stop complaining.
If the SMS/MMS box has alot of messenges in it (especially MMS with imgs) the phone gets VERY slow.
It lacks alot and is way to slow.
It's my opinion.
