you can update this phone to gingerbread 2.3.7 but only with unlocked bootloader (under battery- 11w28 or lower not higher)and custom kernel and it will be good look on xda developers for more info link:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362585

This phone is a legend! bought in 2010, still working flawlessly, running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 in 2014. dropped a few times, no major defects at all. solid quality!

its too good...i m using it from last 3 years and its still better than micromax...camera iis better but no flash so u have to do in good light .....sound and touch are awesome ..i m impressed

hello all....!! i m using dis phone from last 3 years...!!! itz working so good.. nd m fully satisfied with dis phone.. sony u r d best....!! xperia x8 nd x10 are d best lounch of urs..!! nd dis r far more btr dn urz xperia C,M,L....!!! etc.... m looking for d new xperia phone but i did not gt ny best model within my budget.. so plz sony come back to ur own best quality.. so dat i dont have to switch to another brand...

I am running this phone for about 4 months.
I am using minCM7.2 (2.3.7).
Phone is very stable. Battery consuming is small.
miniCM7.2 is very good balance between phne funcionality and speed. I'd dare to say: I don't loose either ;)
Don't hasitate to install it.
