i'm just curious but what comes in the package of this phone?

This phone works fine, I bought it for one of my kid's with a 1 gig M2 card.
The card has an adapter so we use a PSP to transfer files
The only problem is he keeps using the remote control function to mess around with my PC while I'm using it.
I have to pull out my bluetooth dongle.

i'm also facing the same thing. after one day, my phone cannot operate. it just almost 1 day after i buy this hp. suddenly it hang then the screen turn to white lights. i try to off the hp but can't. i send it back 2 the shop, but after 1 day, i experienced the same thing.

Lovely phone with one main drawback.
Ringtone volume (even on highest setting MP3) is VERY soft. Vibrate is pretty pathetic too.

Could you just tell me the procedure how to download SMS,notes into Outlook?? I am new to this concept of downloading SMS via Outlook

The battery cover of Z550i is very tight. Even I experienced the same..and I tried for almost 2-3 hrs but in vain. Finally I went back to the stores from where I purchased and they opened it for me. Once you insert the batter pack, then the cover slides easily. But without the battery pack, the cover fits very tightly.

This may seem really stupid question, but I just bought this phone and cannot get the battery cover off.
Have tried everything. Had a sony ericsson before and am assuming you just slide it off downwards as usual.
Can anyone help? what is the trick?

Once you Master Reset, all your photos etc. are deleted and you cannot retrieve them :(

can anyone tell me how to save the sms into M2?
the phone space for storing sms is too small n i have to keep on deleting my sms(including received n sent sms)

Could you tell me how to take backup of messages, notes and contacts?? I hv downloaded Disc2Phone as well as the Phone explorer from SE site. But it just allows you to move music files, camera files and video files. How to store SMS, notes, contacts from Z550i to Computer???

I'm very disappointed with this phone. I bought it 2 days ago. the next day, this phone can' operate anything. I can't turn it on. after that I change it to the store, they give me new one. but there is another problem. after i use it to call a number,it hang again. I come to the store to change it again. they give me new one again. today I found new problem. the camera can't save any picture which I take. now I will change it with the other model. what happened to Z550i??? I will never buy Z550i again

I was thinking about the master reset, but it is very important to backup all the files.
I don't know if the master reset will bring back lost applications though. But I'm sure I've seen it on the Sony Ericsson members download area before.

I honestly think this phone is better than the Nokia 5200 because:
-The screen is much better and brighter on the Z550. The 5200 has a 128x160 CSTN screen and the Z550 has a 176x220 TFT screen. The TFT screen is used on phones like the W810 whereas the CSTN screen is inferior to even the screen on the K510.
-This has a better camera. 1.3MP compared to the VGA camera.
-This has more (4x) internal memory and it comes bundled (on the newer batch apparently) with a 64MB M2 card.
-This is smaller and lighter.
-This has a better battery life.
-The music quality is equal to or better than the Nokia's.
And switch to Sony Ericsson is fine. I moved from Nokia and I haven't looked back. Sony Ericssons are very easy phones to use.

i dont know if it works. but,
try to back up your personal things stored like phone book, ringtones, images videos, messages etc., and try the master reset available in the settings menu. it resets all the phones software status to intial mode. dont worry, no harm will be done. if the face warp is provided with your phone software it will return back. other wise all the softwares you have with your phone will be reset. Anything you personalised even java games will be removed. So, don't try it without backing up your personally update things in your phone.
If it works just say thanks. if it doesn't and you really need the face warp, try software updates from dealers or the internet.
