No that is not normal. Return your phone immediately for an exchange. It must be a fault with the phone.

Well, maybe the Sony Ericsson site will allow you to download it, but I can't find it under Z550. You may need to search under other phone's applications.
Otherwise I don't know what to suggest, other than googling. Best of luck though ;)

Actually once by mistake one of the application (FACE WARP) was deleted by me..So i just want tht if anyone knows how can i get it back,,then plz do help me...as i really loved it,,, and i want it at any cost.BUT PLEASE do ensure tht (downloading or anyother thing...watever )should not harm my cell phone.

URGENT !!!!
I bought a new z550 yesterday and it somehow emates burning odour from the keypad side ... Isn't this abnormal ?? Im so concerned about it ... Can ne1 plz throw light on this problem(if it is!) ?

Hello, I just got this phone and tryed to connect it with laptop using bluetooth. After trying few times i got errors and wasn't able to connect to laptop. I changed GSM card to another one, a different from the first one. After changing GSM cards, it connected perfectly with bluetooth to laptop, no errors moving files and other things. Any suggestion what could be wrong with the first GSM card? I thought there shouldn't be any difference for bluetooth considering what GSM card is inserted, as I don't connect to internet or something, just using bluetooth to connect to laptop. And about the phone in overall, it's pretty good, I like how it looks, the feel in hand is really good as well, menu is easy-to-use, no stupid useful things that u wouldn't use for ages. :)

This phone is much better than the Z530. This has a 1.3MP camera, the other has a VGA camera. This one has a 176x220 256K TFT screen and the Z530 has a 128x160 65K UBC screen. This phone is also smaller and of higher materials.
This phone is no doubt better than the Z530, so don't hesitate to buy it :)

im almost on the verge of buying this phone ... Altho trying to choose between Z530i and this one .. the former doesnt have FM, the rest i guess thrz not much difference .... should I go in for this phone ?

I have this phone and I have only one problem - when im on call the display light goes dim but does not turn off completely.
please let me know the setting, with which i can turn off the display light

I am happy with almost all features of Z550i, except one about setting reminder & setting birthday reminder. If I want to set Birthday reminder, then why the hell I have to set starting time and ending time. Again suppose if i want to get reminder about some thing then also i have to set starting time and end time. I dont understand why sony cant make it simpler like Nokia. Can any one comment on it?

A 64MB card came with my phone. But I was told that the card was not given for first batch of phones. Mine was the later batch it seems. Really don't know.

Yeah,,snooze option is availbl on this 1,,,but it appears when the alarm rings for the 1st time.....i.e on the lft side there is a potn of "Turn off" n on d right side it is"Snooze"

@Mart, I have stored totally 199 msgs ... after that it gave me a warning message and I had do delete few of them.
Does anyone here know how to 'Snooze' a Reminder?? The snooze option is available in nokia phones, which alerts the users again after 10 mins. Is this available in Z550i? If so how to set it..kindly revert.

The new firmware does not increase the volume. The speaker itself is probably not powerful enough to produce a loud sound, so a software upgrade will not increase the volume. Firmware upgrades are generally for improving the speed and stability of the phone.
