Just have the fone 5 days - love it.
Unfortunately, I think I am going to have get another z710 sent as I think I've got a faulty one. Hopefully a teething problem.
Has anyone had an issue where it does not register calls? I have no new records for any of the calls whether in/out/missed in the past 2 days. V irritating.
Anyone with similar issue or help with the problem, please mail me.
Kind regards to all, including disgruntled w900 owners.

I dont think its fair to compare Z710 to W900. Frist of all, they are different series from Sony. Secondly, they came out at different times. At third, the have different price tags. Why bother to compare these 2 phones?

stop all the hating, w900 will beat this any day, just ook at the vote counts compared to w900, the people have spoken...stop hating cause u can't afford w900....one more thing, w900 has AF (autofocus) that itself, kills this z710i. PERIOD.

the specs states that this phone has photo call.
can the external diplay show photo call?

i'll advise u to buy this fone becoz its a really very durable and nice fone
display is sharp very better than z610i
keypad is very very nice
external display can show u msgs,videos, self pictures alarms calendar etc and thats 1.5''
internal display is a bit larger than 1.9 inch but very good
full screen camera interferance
very nice sound similar to w810i
stereo widening
and boosted equilizers
mp3 application similar to w810i + A2DP (stereo blurtooth) profile and version 2.0
dimensions are smaller than even w300i
while fone is in your hand u will feel very nice
very fast java
full screen videos with fast forward
VERY VERY VERY GOOD BATTERY LIFE
NO 3G
NO AUTOFOCUS

does anybody advise me, whether this phone can make videos mpeg4. I love SE and wanna buy this phone but need some advices fm users like battery life, voice quality, photo quality.... thks in advance

i think you're madden guy, look, the W900i doesn't have edge, but it has 3g, in the near future, no more EDGE, 3G will replace EDGE, and second thing, you mistake, W900i equipped with Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP not this phone, thirdly, W900i is a walkman phone, so it's multimedia function definitely beat this phone, i'm very sure you didn't try W900i before. If about camera function, w900i is also definitely beat this one

hey excuse me MR bluetooth version 2.0 with A2DP ok got it
and ohhhhh ALAS z710i has no 3G ................. cant u c it has EDGE class 10 where is EDGE in w900i.................................................. think......... u r such a silly guy and w900i suppourts usb 1.1 only huh hahhahahaaha thats funny

and w900i has no built-in radio opsssssssssssssssssssssssssss oh where is the radio??? is that lost. u r talking about UMTS huh not all networks support UMTS ok and w900i is tri-band while z710i is QUAD-BAND
and c the dimensions of ur phone arghhhhhhhhhhhh dont u feel it like a brick in ur hand and pocket
remmember ur phone has no A2DP
and music yes ofcourse thats excellent speaker of k800i is superb i think and similar speaker is used in z710i
in w900i ... u cant use AAC as ringing toones w900i no RSS feeds hahahahahahaaa

and at last
price of w900i is a bit high.......................... u said it huhuhuhuh its very expensive better to go for n91 or n93 or n80................or moto A1200 or RIZR

Unknown's right,
W900i include more feature than this phone, if you care only about one fact, forget that W900 can support video call, bluetooth of 2.0, a complete multimedia functions, it's price might be a little high but still better than this phone. Beside, try to watch 3g2 on this phone, it doesn't support many multimedia format like Sony W900i, luckily i own one, beside, does this phone support UTMS like W900? One more fact, it's loudspeaker is no way compare to W900, go and test it for yourself

does w900i has A2DP.................. thats a music fone and has no A2DP support huh
and walkman hahahahahaa that shud be called a PDA sized huge bulky media player in these terms
dont mind................. thats really very big and ................... expensive
i dont say that w900i is bad or else...... but really not fits in its price tag better to go for nokia n-series or 3250 either e2 rokr which is at half price and far better functions except camera
i m really very sorry to say that w900i is a flop walkman ok

Motorola v3maxx, v3x, A1200 definitely beat this one, they're not just good look, but better feature than this phone

The only difference between the W and the Z is the Phone speaker sond and the Headset. The W is better than the Z. All the rest is the same and O yes the price of the W is about Inr3000/- (approxUS$70) higher.
I have this phone and so far no complaints. It has given me value for money.
