the zylo's assembly unit i... moreOk, answer this question. I have a phone which was imported in october, but made by foxconn china. Now what explanation do you have? indian assembly line indeed. FYI, there is nothing to do with the assembly unit itself, it's the damn flex strip that's faulty. and the strip is probably made in china, not india.
luck has nothing to do with a simple purchase of a phone. shame on SE for releasing a phone with problems, and then moreover not fixing it properly and in time.

You're the one being childish here promoting features about a buggy phone which many people have genuine complaints about. And your answer to them is the problem was with the old batch. How does that solve their problem? Even after service they're getting the phones back with new problems. So you're basically saying all the old batch owners who've paid money (dunno if you have) for their phones should just shut up, and only new buyers should comment here?

Hi, guys!
Want to buy a new phone for my mum.
She's sends a lot of text messages and mms, takes photos all the time...
Pitty this Zylo doesn't have a videocall camera, because she's used to that, too.
Before I get it, just need to know two things:
1- can we set the phone to display a BIG font for contacts and messages?
(I've owned a couple of SE years ago and it sãs impossible to change the font size)
2- are the keys nice to touch or do they have that awful plastic "feel"?

the zylo's assembly unit in india had a manufacturìng defect in its assembly unit.
it had been correctd only last november.
so all the hand sets that had its manufacturing date before or 1st week november usually had the same problem.
but lucky ones like me who bought phones manufacturd on january got the finest handset under 10k by buying zylo.

Hi guys..i'm posting after quite long..
Lets get to d point. I'm loving my phone! It has absolutely no problems whatsoever(atleast till now hopefully!) There's no display or slider problem. D sound output is still going great. I've fallen in love with google maps! But yeah it does take a little extra time to launch at times I dont know why..recently I was on roaming and d voice clarity while calling was crystal clear as ever. The browser's doing fine(i'm currently using opera mini 5.1)..texting is super smooth too. I've filled up almost all of my 4gb space but its running like new! And even after using the phone to its utmost capacity the battery backup is damn cool(1.5 to 2 days with ease,obviously I do charge my phone frequently for optimum performance) Basically nothing to complain about. Those wishing to buy this phone please go ahead without hesitation. Though do think about better earphones for much better output. Zylo's a killer. A little more privacy options though would've increased its versatility! Feel free to ask questions. My phone's gonna complete a month in a day!

but can you tell me of any other phone at this range where you can skip tracks prev or next, lower or incres volume with just moving your hand and not pressing keys ????

C5 HAS SYMBIAN OS, BT ZYLO BASED ON JAVA,
so c5 much wider than zylo when we look the application. am i correct?

ANN, 30 Jan 2011Zylo is not as convinient as it looks...its been less than ... moreAnn, I am facing same kind of problem. I bought a Zylo on October 2nd. It got display complaint on December 26th. The phone was in service center for almost 23 days,then they gave it back. When I checked it, camera was not working. Again I gave it for service. After so many days, I got it yesterday after repair. Now the phone is not getting charged. I used the same battery in another phone,it was charging. So, its the problem of phone. I complained to service center technicians & asked them to replace the phone. Phone is getting more & more damaged due to the irresponsible behaviour of the technicians. They are telling that they wont take the responsibility of the phone & gave it back. They told that they will replace the battery within 2 days. What is the use in replacing a battery without complaints? I don't know what to do. Complaints to SE company is also not working. If the company is making this kind of stupid phones, customers like us will be in trouble. Why don't they give value for the money we are giving them?
I am not at all satisfied with this phone. I am sure that it will aways be in the service center.
If anybody who has got same kind of problems, know any idea to get the phone replaced, pls pls tell me..

abhi, 31 Jan 2011Dude ... Don't make me bash ur c5. Zylo gives u a great s... morevery good abhi! I'm totally agree with you. Though C5 has GPS, Zylo has Google Maps with My Location feature that gives your approximate location by cell tower trangulation method. Its working pretty good with my vodafone GPRS (if your network provider has more tower, you'll get more exact location).

It's a decent phone but you guys promote it like it's the best phone ever created. Accept it's good points and also the bad. Stop listing features like no ones seen them on the official site already.

coz if u did you won't be as... moreLOL wow, some of you guys seem to be paid by SE the way you post comments. They give you free phones or something?
So first i navigate through the main menu and start the camera app. Then i use the button located in the middle of the phone, covering half the screen, instead of near the end where i'm holding my hand. I can't think of a more awkward way to shoot. Which is why i use the middle button on the d-pad instead. And you call it a shutter key. Which is what confused me. I thought there was some hidden button which only you had found, which worked like the previous well designed SE camera buttons. And FYI there is no 'shutter' in the phone.

I'm gonna be buying this phone for the next 2 weeks! (After pay day lol) This is going to be my return into SE phones. Last one was C902. Well yeah, once you go Sony Ericsson you'll keep coming back for more. Agree?

coz if u did you won't be asking this question....
the zylo's walkman key doubles as shutter key once the camera is on.
