Sony finally releases PlayStation Vue app for Android

Vlad, 29 June, 2016

Today Sony has finally launched its PlayStation Vue app for Android. This was originally announced last week when Vue made its way to Roku boxes. And it's way overdue, seeing as how the iOS Vue app has been out for ages.

So it's late, but it's here. PlayStation Vue is a service that lets you watch live TV, movies, and sports without a cable or satellite subscription. You do have to pay for Vue itself, though, after an initial seven-day free trial period.

That said, if you haven't used it before do note that you can't create a new account in the Android app - you'll have to use the website for that, or your PlayStation if you have one. After the trial expires, Vue starts at $29.99 per month and goes up to $54.99 depending on where you are located and what plan you pick.

Why does everything have to be so overpriced with Sony ? Why is the marketing team not doing a thorough research of its own products and the products of its competitors and realise its shortcomings?

i think i found the main culprit for the uncontrolled digital piracy..its SONY... now we'll be using VUe and while Sony employees are using Netflix..hmm
