Sony PlayStation 5 crosses 40 million sales globally
Sony has announced it has reached the milestone of selling more than 40 million PlayStation 5 units globally (as of July 16, 2023) since it was unveiled in 2020. Sony sold its 25 millionth PS5 unit in the fiscal quarter ending on September 30, 2022, meaning it took the Japanese company just a little over nine months to sell another 15 million PS5 consoles, which is impressive.
In a blog post announcing this milestone, Jim Ryan, President & CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), said the brand faced supply chain issues earlier due to the COVID-19 pandemic, making keeping the PS5 stocked challenging. However, Ryan says the PS5 is now "well-stocked," and the company is "seeing that pent up demand finally being met." Ryan also thanked Sony's community of gamers for the 40 million sales milestone.
Furthermore, the SIE CEO said there are 2,500+ games available for the PS5 now, including launches in the last two months from its partners Final Fantasy XVI, Diablo IV, and Street Fighter 6.
Ryan also shared a list of the top 40 games voted for by the PlayStation community. You can check the image below for the complete list. You can also read our PlayStation 5 review if you are considering buying one.

Man, i am thinking the same as you. Every time when i think buying the console i stop because of the boring games. Super hardware and slow games.

No, it's not middleman. Middleman is a trader who buys from producers and sells to retailers/consumers. The correct term is scalping. Scalpers buy from retailers and sell to consumers at higher prices.
