Are you dreaming? That is impossible. Sony can't afford to develop such device. They lack manpower and technical expertise to do that.

I'm getting REALLY tired though of waiting. They need to announce an OFFICIAL release date already and get to it.

I have no review just because I have no xperia one!! Hopefully, long live SONY

AlexP, 28 Apr 2019No Verizon. That's perfectly fineWell, the Xperia 10 and 10 Plus BOTH have Verizon-certification on them, so I'd say there IS still a chance the Xperia 1 will have it too. Only reason I'd say no is b/c the cheaper phones sell more, Sony may not see getting Verizon-certification as cost effective. I hope not, but we'll find out soon enough as the X1 is supposed to be released next month.

Sounds like it's not happening. Oh well. I guess I should be happy that I can at least buy it unlocked on Amazon or Best Buy.

RockStar2005, 27 Apr 2019XZP LUL, Yes I'm aware of all of that actually. I'm not... more"You can pick one up from Amazon or Best Buy. You'll have to pay $899.99 for the privilege of owning Sony's latest flagship smartphone. Obviously you'll be receiving an unlocked unit, but note that it will only work on GSM-based carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and their sub-brands and MVNOs using their networks. No Sprint or Verizon, sorry." this is the quota for xz3 sony, so i guess it will be the same again for xperia 1 no sprint or verizon

Yes I'm aware of all of that actually. I'm not worried about if Sony will leave the US market or not. What I was asking from you was to supply proof of the statement you made earlier that Sony would be AGAIN selling through U.S. carriers, which is something they haven't done since 2015.

I don't see anything in this new post of yours (including the YouTube link) which proves that Sony is planning on again selling through the carriers here. IF you have proof of this, please post that and ONLY that as again I was already aware of everything you've said.

With that said, that video was very interesting. It's amazing how great it is at blur-elimination! Thank you for sharing.

RockStar2005, 26 Apr 2019Hey XZP LUL, In your post you said: "Well last time i h... moreWell it is obvious sony will not give up USA market, remember xz2 and xz3 have back finger print sensor, this time the fingerprint sensor is on the side but is not with the power button. This is to avoid patent infringement in US which i don't recall which company holding the patent. But anyway, now the phone has volume buttons, power button, fingerprint sensor and shuttle button all at the right hand side of the phone.

It was announced in taiwan and hong kong on 26 but only available mid May.

check out the promo video, watch from 21 min start, if you can understand japanese/chinese it would help alot, but the OIS and EIS combination for video recording is really good.

"Gimbal level quality video stabilisation, even in lowlight, without any blur."
"Improved HDR algorithms FOR (Arena and other testers, take notice, for once) LOWLIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY."

Yes, reviewers, we d really like to ACTUALY see some HDR lowlight results from an Xperia for once.

Shui8, 26 Apr 2019Why am i told u Huawei fix it already in an update? Well ju... moreHuawei didn't state that they have solve the weird color issue, do you have any trusted link to show you are the one front them?

You love low light photography as you always do, Xperia XZ2 Premium is great for that time and sure Xperia 1 will be even better especially the width has slimmer and elongated for better one hand handheld, I don't what you saying you have to use two handed the phone, how can you saying this? Even in landscape posture the phone still nice in hand, don't forget it has a slimmer bezel at one size to help to grip the phone better than any stupidity notch to blocking the view fields! Then if your left hand the phone and right hand is free, you can switch to another hand the screen will turn upside down to fit the display like any other phone.

AI Side Sense has the greater intuitive than gesture because you have to remember all gesture at first, AI Side sense is more easier for everyone even a new user. Too much Huawei's Gesture actually more complicated to use. I have use gesture for Web surfing so I that every single gesture can setup a feature to access and the more you set the more have to remember, it quite annoying especially when you pass the phone to your elder parents, they don't wish to remember such many sets of gesture settings, they want simple and intuitive. The Sony's AI Side Sense is more simple and intuitive and the longer day of use the AI will be more interesting intelligence make up the show.
