Xiao Yuan Jia, 17 Mar 2019Sure.. all brands will implement 4k.
But they will do that... moreI can hardly call a 6.5" display 'tiny'. Sure, if you compare it to something else outside it's own class, like a tablet or a TV, then yeah, it's tiny. But since it's a smartphone, no, it definitely isn't tiny.
It's actually big if you ask me. My phone's display is 6.2" and I find it rather big and I don't have small hands or anything.

But they will do that only for larger screens like foldable tablets.
Tiny Un-foldable phones dont need 4k screens.

Stop quarrelling. FHD is the best, QHD and above is only for VR. So 4K with no proper VR support is a wasted tech.
Also this phone pixel is only a little higher than QHD, and its a tall phone and sony dont make VR headset for this phone. And it look like this is too tall for 3rd party VR headset. So, its only a wasted tech.

You can't see from a conventional not 4K phone, you must see the real 4K HDR phone.

normal holding position is like 35cm from the eye, its impossible to see pixels from that distance. You can compare it to watching TV, from that distance you cant see pixels on a TV, but you can see the difference on such big screen between 1080p and 4K, but not on a phone.
Don't go in to the extreme with your examples, with the right tools you can even see pixels on a 5inch 8K screen.

Anonymous, 16 Mar 2019Totally Wrong. 4k is just a sales gimmick on a mobile phone... moreEducate me about what, lol?
I have multiple smartphones at home with over 500 PPI. I can see pixels on all of them. By the way, there are rumours about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 beeing 4K. 4K is the future. I remember back when 1080p was introduced, many people said you would not be able to see any difference to 720p. Now 4K has 4 times sharper detail than 1080p. It is always the same story.

Alien , 16 Mar 2019What's the purpose of taking 4K photos and videos if you ca... moreYes, that's the only way to make advantage of 4K videos. Some people want to edit there videos professionally or they make family video's to be able to watch on a big screen later in the years. I still have videos from years ago (full HD), its nice to be able to watch good quality after 20 years for example or show it to your kids.
Otherwise its of no use to make video's with your 6.5 inch screen, you just cant see the difference between QHD, FullHD+ and 4K on a 6.5 inch screen, because of the limit of the eye.
Simply try it with your current phone, try to change resolution.
