The design looks too cheap/generic. And the screen is too tall.
21:9 is not useful for phone because all people watch movie on tv/pc.

So if you really want to see better review about xperia, i suggest you to read its "fanboys sites". I guarantee those sites will always write good reviews about xperia.

But I notice the ps division never use bad tactic like that. Only the mobile division do it.

1. It's soo subjective and it can be seen that the guy behind the words it's a Shamesung user. He says things that are not in behind scene - Xperia devices have many of these.
2. Screen it has nothing to do with LG. It's better! CAN YOU SWALLOW THAT guy on the street hired by 'friendships' of Arena??
3. Battery is very good and can be 'moded' to last longer.
4. Camera have many settings in manual mode also in third party apps, so for an experienced user it's not an issue the Superior's few exceptions mode may have. Even XA can manage better that this guy showed in this so lame article. Don't tell me S9+ is better I have photos of my colleagues that are lamer than XA devices. SO PLEASE!
5. Connectivity is great and speaker quality and call quality is top notch, are going to prove Shamesung better??
6. And many other details that are simply not ok. It's purely a beginner's subjective opinion that have nothing to do with this devices and its amazing must-do settings.
In conclusion for most users that have never touched an Xperia before, one important fact: STAY AWAY OF THIS REVIEW!!!
For fans that know what I am supporting here it's another useless review!

They are all fake. Dont get fooled by fancy naming and hyperbolic description.

It’s always been rather interesting that most smartphones which are ranked among the best in the camera department have decided to go with Sony sensors. Sony has been able to stay on top of the camera game even with Samsung’s work at gaining a slice of that pie. So if Sony’s sensors are in the best photography smartphones then why haven’t Sony’s smartphones themselves been ranked up there as well? It’s proof that there’s more to photo quality than just the camera sensor you’re using, but the Sony Xperia 1 wants to change that reputation.In a TrustedReviews interview with Adam Marsh, Sony’s Senior Manager of Global Marketing, we learned why the cameras in Xperia phones have never lived up to their potential and why this is changing with their next flagship smartphone. During the interview, we learned that there were internal barriers between the camera and smartphone teams. This resulted in data and information that wasn’t allowed to be passed between teams. Since a lot of the photo quality of a smartphone camera has to do with post-processing, this was a huge issue for their smartphone team.
This decision was made because the company did not want to cannibalize its more expensive Alpha cameras. They thought that if their smartphones were taking good enough photos then they would lose sales of their regular cameras. However, we have learned that with the Xperia 1 the teams are now allowed to have a much closer collaboration which should result in better photos compared to previous Xperia devices.

I purchased my first Sony phone, many years ago and was horrified at the picture quality when watching my favourite movie; The Bee Movie.
Hopefully this phone doesn't disappoint, as I am very excited to watch the Bee Movie on it.
