Else wait another 3 yrs or until the XZ Premiun dies.

the problem with SONY is not because their tech is lacking or quality, they have to start to understand that marketing is king now, Samsung and Huawei are what they are now because they conduct strong marketing strategy to build up brand awareness, it's time for SONY to wake up and face the reality

It's a world's first. Ambient flow and HTC 11/U12 are nothing alike. Maybe you have untrained eye but if you had them in your hands side by side there is no comparison.

Hey guys do you think its currently worth it to upgrade from xz premium and before i had z5 premium, huge fan of the chrome and 4k ll the way around the phone. Xperia 1 is missing the 4k screen and dpi but might make it up woth oled screen and the huge impact pf 5giro camera stability... But that chrome xz woth 4k still kicks ass
Lemme know ya thoughts some +/- but as far as i think its all cool as long as i am satisfied with xz premium (without consideration the notification dissappearing bug and location lags) and as far as i recall as soon rhe phone hits 2y its all ruined as from factory as all androids are now... (1y on hands) - lookin back to nokia 8800 types also with chrome full metal options from fin (500eur instead of 100 that tine for those models) so iwe been a fan of premium and chrome color (mirror) for long periods

Something that nobody takes into account is the fact that smartphones are the portable computers of our time, and inevitably It has to fulfill many functions. therefore it must be a device with general purposes. Ultra tall (ultra narrow) aspect ratios, although they are good for cinematic purposes, suck miserably for other functions, for example, maps are better in squarish aspect ratios On the other hand, I doubt people prefer to watch an entire movie on a phone instead of casting on their TVs (that by the way have the aspect ratio of 16:9 in most cases).

It all depends on software optimisation, fortunately sony has a good record on it.

The purple color reminds me of my old Xperia Z. Xperia is very nice, i love u full xperia

I like the design, finally a phone without notch or hole in the display, and there is a decent speaker on the top so you can have stereo speakers, I really like the bezels.
No 3.5 mm jack is kind of disappointment and the size of the battery too. Everything else is fine.
When I complained about the way too big screens (because I like the more compact devices) you guys; you wanted this.

- way too big screens - nobody listen to me. I want to use my mobilephone as mobile not put it on charger every 12 hours.
maybe that Energizer 18000mAh powerbank brick phone if for me, right? :D
Anybody find me with some bs like it is not good for gaming, go play hide'n'seek by yourself, nobody wants you here. buy a PC or console.
5"-5.2" display phones I miss you, 3500mAh+ batteries I miss you. - I miss my DROID Turbo.

This is a great phone. Not categorized and unique. It's a sure standout among the crowd. I don't mind the small battery because Sony optimizes battery usage very well. The 21:9 aspect ratio sure is a new adjustment but its nothing of a sacrifice since apps will be optimized soon to this screen( since we adjusted to 18:9 how hard can this one be? ). Its a great phone for those rebels like me who don't want the notch and the holes and has larger hands. The camera this time has great execution unlike past series. The price is steep yet reasonable IMO, still expensive tho. :)
