Looks like it is 1200 euros (VAT included).
The 10 ii in HK is about 330 dollars. Blue and mint green is just for Asia.

Martibide, 04 May 2020Not sure if it's a good indicator, but the phone's page on ... moreThey are preparing to release step by step it seems. In USA, UK and German websites as well it is changed to where to buy instead of available soon. If my guess is correct pre-orders will be by end of this month. In worse case beginning of June.

Not sure if it's a good indicator, but the phone's page on some Sony's European websites (I've just checked France and Poland) now displays a "Where to buy" button (then it says that the phone is not on sale yet) instead of the "Available Soon" one.

        Good evening haters.

Just came to inform OP8 Pro is 8bit + 2 too.
Now you can stop crying because your phone (samsung, iphone, xioami or huawei) cant display 10bit content.

I have xperia 1 and last day i have compared with s20 ultra and s20 plus in the night photography, firstly when you open the camera then you will see the clear difference in secreen quality, xperia color are pure dark and so much beautiful and pixilization is stunning while s20 has unwanted whiteness and very bad colors, colors are light,no pixilization seems,

108MP camera has no details and found autofox issues..i am shocked to see such a huge sensors and very very disappointed results.. only zoom is betrer , otherwise in every category xperia has far ahead..
Friends don't go on website s review even dxomark or other youtube reviewers

Have their own ridiculous auto out of the box testing parameters, so iphones always on autoHDR camera gets extra higher points for DR, and Sonys toggle HDR on/off camera gets extra lower DR points for not using it by auto out of the box, cause well, thats how DxO insists on doing it...
Sonu CEO said it well once, they do not design camera for DxO parameters, so lower DxO scores are always expected.

XZ3: Limited dynamic range in all conditions (DXOmark)

                Buahahah

Huawei: Bad color science, is just terrible, color aren't displayed properly because the sensor is not RGB. Raw will give you worse results and due the high pixel number the raw is also noisy and blurry bc quad-bayer.

Stock camera and auto is the way.

Pixel: Too much structural enhancement, colors are too cold and artificial, they did a good job with the Pixel 2, but somehow they screwed it up on the Pixel 3. Manual mode? Nope they just don give us full control. At least the sensor is RGB and the raw is usable on Lightroom.

Stock camera and auto is the way.

iPhone: The only problem that really bothers me is the skin tones, especially in the golden hour, people turn orange! Apart from that iOS offers more control than Android.

Huawei and Google's Pixel sucks at video. Samsung offers manual mode for video but doesn't have a good picture profile and the filmic pro app is limited, iPhone doesn't record in 10bits.

Sony has a "weak" performance compared to others, sure, but now with the Xperia 1 II offers something that NO ONE else does: CONTROL.

Album app is one of best in terms of pinch grind to zoom, have very good Edit feature (with curves, saturation, contrast and exposure) and amazing thing - I can zoom in real-time 4K HDR (@100mbps) videos from mirrorless camera (e.g Alfa 7m3) - that I can send from camera via Wifi Imagine Edge App.
"mostly reviewers as they'll use google"
Most reviewers know nothing about technology, lightning, video and photography.
DXOMark iPhone XS 106p and XZ3 79p?!!! I have tested both phones (cuz my job colleague have iPXS) and its piece of bullsh** dxomark review. They crop 19mpx photos to max and they compare noise (with the same sesnor size) to 12mpx photos from another phones.

Anonymous, 03 May 2020Finally I have seen a phone with great pixels real 4k videoEvery sony phone looks promising on papers, but then gives disappointing results on reviews and real life experience, I wish this one will be an exception.

Personal opinion: I don't know why sony is insisting on using the odd 21:9 screen ratio although we are using our phones in vertical position most of the time.

The thing is 10-bit in definition itself means 1B colours. 1024RedX1024BlueX1024Green shades. 8-bit+FRC or true 10-bit, it doesnt matter. You will be able to see 1Billion colours. I clearly explained how 8bit+FRC works like 10bit in other comment below. I'm pasting it again for you.

"Unfortunately the level of control of the polarizing crystals isn't quite enough to give 1024 orientations between 0 and 90 degrees. So panels use FRC to create in-between shades.. (Older panels couldn't even do 256 orientations., leading to 6-bit + FRC) . Using 8bit + FRC as an example, you want to produce 1024 shades but the panel can only orient the crystals to produce 256 shades. e.g. Shade 0, shade 4, shade 8, etc. If the pixel is supposed to display shade 401, but the panel can only produce 400 and 404, what you do is rapidly shift the pixel between 400 and 404.

You show 400 75% of the time, and 404 25% of the time (hence the F in FRC - frequency). This produces the illusion of the pixel showing shade 401. If it were showing shade 400 and 404 50% of the time, it'd produce the illusion of shade 402. If it were showing shade 400 25% of the time and 404 75% of the time, that would be shade 403.

Since the vast majority of images and movies available are encoded with 8-bit color, they would display the same on both monitors. Unless you're working with photos or video shot with 10-bit or higher color depth, there really isn't any reason to prefer true 10-bit over 8-bit + FRC. And even then most people would be hard-pressed to see the difference."
