even the stock camera app is good and cannot understand others complain...
still learning about the camera pro, though i used to tweak settings on my nokia 909...
i am also starting to like the aspect ratio... transferred some of my movies from z5 premium, and most of them are on 21:9 so it is bigger on 1ii than on z5 premium...
i am still not into 1ii ui though, esp the recent apps arranged horizontally, and this is because of the stock android 10...
build quality already became same with others since it uses same gg6...
for legit "possible" problems i read more on reddit than here on gsmarena, so when a complains are written here, yet not on reddit, then those are possibly from bashers who act like they bought one...

I don't know how I ended up with this garbage - wanted to be different. Has to be the worst phone I had in years. The main camera is only just average, if you want your photos to look decent you really have to play with exposure, iso and other settings. This simply defeats the purpose of a phone camera. Front camera is something you would find on a 10 years old device - it's simply shocking. Sony claims this phone is for professional photographers and not for taking selfies! What about video calling?! There are a lot of problems with the rest of this device. Wireless charging will stop and a message will appear telling me it's not placed properly. When charging via cable it will keep beeping at me all night as if the cable was unplugged and put back in - I have to turn off all notifications otherwise I'll get no sleep. I have to delete pictures and videos from my gallery on a weekly basis now, otherwise taking a picture takes 30 seconds save. Flagship phone costing more than £1k! Don't believe the hype and all positive sponsored reviews. Yes the screen is nice and speakers sound decent but that's about it.

I had this phone for over a month the biggest disappointment is the camera app, 4 out of five times it freezes or doesn't open at all, freezes when taking pictures, slow in processing photos in low light, the smallest movement gets you a blurry photo, overall you would think you are holding a 300 dollar phone in your hand, I do love the screen and the design, but the camera app is embarrassing, even the pro mode is full of bugs, if anyone is buying this phone for the camera, look somewhere else.

I really do like the feel and quality of the Xperia 1 ii, but having had Samsung devices for a fair few years, I guess I can't live without some features, secure folder being one of them unfortunately!

I don't believe it has since its UI is essentially stock Android, so if you want that feature, I would suggest staying with Samsung (one of the reasons why I'm staying with Samsung), but if you prefer the more bare stock android feeling and possibly more OS updates, then Sony and some other Android devices are more for you

Anonymous, 19 Jan 2021I don't know why sonny's phones are too expensive What about Huawei mate p40 pro, samsung s21 ultra, iphone 12 pro? They all cost over 1100euros. So why sony xperia should be cheap? They spend a lot of effort creating their flagship phones and thats gonna cost. Sony is as good as any other flagship if not the best.

I will go with XPERIA 1 III if it launches before end of March. If not I guess I will have to settle for XPERIA 1 II. Reason is that My cousin is visiting India by end of March or beginning of April so she will be purchasing it and bringing it along her.
So if XPERIA 1 III releases soon I will purchase it if not XPERIA 1 II it is. But yeah will be purchasing 5G version.
