      with a brushed aluminium back or polycarbonate it would be perfect. With glass it smudges again... pointless, who wants to buy a premium device and then you cant use it without a cover

        Now we know after Nokia, Sony use the Zeiss Optics. Legendary..

            What's wrong with that. You acting like it has issues. It's simply better than any screen on the market.
            60hz brigade wouldn't understand the premium experience of 120hz on a smartphone.

                  I loved this one.
                  The only deal breaker is the availability gap too far.
                  Sony should learn from Samsung. Once it's announced they need to release PO soon.
                  Spec wise it would be perfect if the battery increase to 5000 mah and fast charging 45watt.
                  Other than that this is flagship of 2020 IMO.

I was expecting more base on reviews. Not impressive at all. I do have Xperia 1, I know that the size is perfect. It doesn't hurt the hand when you use it for while. Even my wife like it after OnePlus 6T. So you can compare these phones. Display on S20+ or ultra exactly the same as note 10+ has. They changed the name of it, but it's still the same. It's not dinamic bla bla bla. Good luck with your choice
                    I'm hoping the camera on Xperia 1 II will be upgraded, that's all I'm waiting for

                        I wish sony's design is like sammy galaxy s10! Ideal size! This is tooooooo long and narrow. Sony and lg design department is so so bad! Make a small size and a plus size. Best of both world. This is why they are losing to sammy. Sammy copies iphone. Now they have 3 sizes to choose!!!!

                          I have been hoping for a great phone with no gimmicks to upgrade to from my (still great) XZ Premium...

                                  1) Sony has added a new screen display setting for Xperia 1 II. It also adds the option to respond to changes in the standard light source and temperature, thereby changing the white balance function. It faithfully re-displays the original photo at the print level. It is also possible Change the display according to the color requirements of the display. It's not yet confirmed whether it is similar to the original color display function on iOS, and it will take a few months to know.
