Everything I said is Fact. You can waste your money on minimal aesthetics while I'd keep mine for something more useful.

The videos you watch like youtube are 30fps, some are 60fps. You are basically duplicating the frames for your 120hz.

But on a smartphone, the entire operational input is touch, it's a huge difference.
Come back and talk to me after you have used a 120hz phone as a daily driver for 3 weeks.

The general public not going waste energy caring about aesthetics only. I don't even see the benefits of a higher display besides it looking smoother, unless you're a competitive gamer.
It's nice to have but not a deal breaker.
Same with the 4k Display, basically aesthetics too - nice to have but barely going to notice the difference.

But, they dont mind going back to 2k or fHD either, if it saves battery.
Either way, 4k with 90 hz equivalent blur reduction, as seen on TVs, is great stuff on mobile. Once you try it, you can never go back to lesser. Right?

This must happen in your fantasy world coz once you use a 120hz display with 240hz touch sampling rate, you never go back. I couldn't go back to the s10 (one of the best if not the best displays on the market) after using the 120hz on ROG 2.
No one goes back to 60hz again.
All the time I see, people settling for 60hz are simply the same ppl who never used a 120hz display as their daily driver.

90hz eqivalent at 4k/or any other res screen, without any significant battery drain, is a gimmicky win/win solution for that gimmicky feat IMO.
Hope they do the same on Xperia5 mark II fHD screen. Same effect but no excessive battery drainer...

LOL, 26 Feb 2020Native 90Hz would have drained the battery even more.
An... moreNo it doesn't, less than 10-15% battery drain on devices operating @120hz vs them operating @60hz.
Sony simply not giving higher refresh rate like other manufacturers.
And charging similar prices is simply a recipe for disaster. No wonder their marketshare is dropping.

Check it out in real world, 10x hybrid optical pics look fantastic. 30x is pretty usable, 100x is gimmicky and you'll get blurred results.
Your garbage iPhone 11 pro crops from main sensor in low light to give you zoom. S20 ultra pics from telephoto lens are actually usable in low light. Other manufacturers (Huawei) which gave 5x optical zoom, the samples are just terrible in low light.

Where are the bigger sensors of the cameras?
Out of 3 cameras all 3 are with 12 mp and now other brands are coming with 4 cameras with 24, 32 and so on mega pixels per camera and Sony sticks with 12 mp sensors...
