Does anyone know (if possible) will this phone be supported here in the US on T-Mobile? That is my primary concern and the main reason I did not buy the 1 ii. Does the native launcher have the ability to do double tap to lock, or wake? Can the phone be turned on using scheduling? If it supports 5G bands in the US, I am a player. I can find ways to work around my other semi-requirements. Tired of hearing that Sony phones are overpriced. PLEASE...all smart phones in the so-called flagship category are overpriced!

I really hope that Sony is stepping up their game. Their Mark II is already good, but surely it still have room for improvements (cough* selfie cam cough*).
Their Photo Pro and Video Pro is damn impressive, sadly their auto camera software "still" far away from the competitor.
Lemme guess about it's price, maybe around $1200? Damn my wallet isn't thicc enough to afford their phone.

Finally
I want to replace my Xperia 1. Have been super satisfied with the Xperia 1 and will definitely go for the Xperia 1 III. Hopefully it will arrive in Sweden before summer

hopefully sony would release their phones globally now since LG already out from the market and huaweii pretty much still on banned list, there are opportunities for sony to get the market

that's fine for a $300 phone ...Umm dude, non-Ultra S21 & vanilla Note20, Pixel 4a 5G/5, iPhone 12 series that have a range of 500-1000 USD+ are still using 12 MP sensor, and not all 12 MP sensor are made equal. Those 12 MP have a range size, from 1/1.7" 1.8μm size (the current biggest for smartphone), 1/2.55" 1.4μm (the most popular), 1/2.3", and a more varied range of sizes.
Sure, those 12 MP sensors could be replaced with other sensors with higher MP but with Quadbayer tech, but we have to wait. And we don't know what sensor will power 1 III as Sony are very strict regarding leaks and only spread mostly last minutes. You have to wait until next week to get your answer.

A few years ago I thought these would be razer phone 3's specifications. I really miss the 16:9 screen ratio flagships. If the rumors are real and sony xperia 1 mark 3 will have 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM in China, I will try to get one.

i would still be happy with 90 hz on 4k rather than 120 , as we remember it still felt very smooth, it just needs huge battery, 5000+ could be a good spot

So that will add in more heat to the System. But won't matter as the Heating will not cause it to throttle. As the Heat generated is not entirely from the SD888 and possibly SD888 is running cooler than what it does in Samsung S21 as some processing is taken away from it.
