    sony, the best of the best in cameras, producer of image sensors used in almost all phones, developer of the alpha camera series and a highly regarded brand in matters of quality and innovation:
    how did you fail making a great camera?
    other phone brands, like huawei have succeeded in creating the best phones, regarding all aspects like camera, screen etc.
    where did you get those 12mp cameras from?
    i don't think it was your sony alpha engineers who created this embarrassing phone.

      I'm glad to say that people were wrong about the specs. 4k 144htz display, 6,000mah battery. Display size is perfect as well as body. 1,800nit brightness. 108mp camera. I am loving this phone all day everyday. If Sony manages to 1up itself again next year I'll be so happy. Sony supremacy.

        This seems to be the ideal phone with a jack too, but the idiot screen ratio just doesnt let me get it: i like a broad screen in portrait mode and i do not like phones that are 17 cm's long!

          Good phone, but not the best one.
          In-call volume could not be saved. (It's always maxed on my phone)

              If I knew about this phone, I would have gotten this one.

              You actually get more if you play less nowadays. Shitty trends where I actually cannot throw money at them because companies be like " Yo Dawg, you want no SD slot? Gonna cost you. No head phone jack? Damn..that be costing you premium."

                a sd card slot and bezels are always best deal speakers too
                i think the 4k Oled screen is best screen for any smartphone out there to date for picture quality + 120hz is good but not king
                looks like a really good smartphone
                overall best flagship phone of 2021 only phones better then it are gaming phones but only just only because
                i find out the things that age the worsted is always the performance & software
                most of the apps on the app store are games and the main things games need is good specs [still really good specs Sony Xperia 1 III has)
                hints add better cooling system more ram storage
                i hope the sony phones get better at gaming

                  W, 01 Dec 2021Build quality OK?I believe it's pretty solid. IP65 and IP68 certifications for water resistance which are better than most phones out there. This along with SD card is pretty impressive. The phone feels premium and well-put together without being bulky or too heavy. It does have a reasonable amount of weight and the metal and glass sandwich is a known commodity. The phone shutter button has an excellent feel to it, and taking pictures with it is a welcome throwback and premium experience.

                      Sony please!!! New SD SoCs are just announced & around the corner!, don't wait months months months months later to release your new set of phones for those who plant on upgrading next year since you are the last Manufacturers who keeps all features intact, eg. 3.5mm jack & expandable storage while others are killing them.

                          I'm sad to say I went with Oneplus 9 this year, after a life time of Sony exclusivity and a Samsung TV replacing my never ending Sony TV sets. It's all in the balance between price and quality and Sony is losing at this chapter. Great quality products?...yeah but quite a lot overpriced (like Apple in my opinion). In fact, by the time I write this, the new Oneplus 9 it was donated to my wife and the XZ 2 is reactivated. I'll keep my hopes high for next year because for this price we have the right to demand better and what's more frustrating is that it can be better but looks like it is no will.

                            Been using for about 3 months, overall better than what I expected. Camera is great, battery is good and screen is the best thing I've seen on a phone. Software is good too, it's butter smooth but there are some missing features (like NFC toggle) but that can be fixed with Tasker. Speaking of which, you can implement adaptive refresh rate using Tasker as well. Overall well worth the price considering all the free gifts, features and specs you get compared to the competition.

                                    Shape is too tall. Screen is too dim. Camera quality is just average. Ui is too featureless. And price is very xpensive.

                                    Sony = Higher price + lower quality.
