Anonymous, 05 Jul 2021Photographers also know that prime lenses give better image... moreThat is true when using proper camera lenses, and then only when using the same quality lenses for both. A cheap prime is no match for an expensive telephoto lens for example. With the glass configuration and sensors in mobile phones the differences will be as good as non-existent.

There is zero reason to put graphics on Very High while gaming on the most pixel dense screen.

Physical controls would be a great solution to that problem. Just put some kind of slider on the side of the phone to mechanically move the optics, like a normal camera. I think people would find that more enjoyable to use, too.

Alpha, 03 Jul 2021ok troll...They got quite a bit right but I find myself completely ignoring anything near this price point. I know phones do a lot, but paying more for a phone than a gaming pc is a very hard sell.
Still, it's nice that sony is at least somewhat maintaining LG's legacy, although I'd prefer a less long screen. 18:9 is fine, I'm not watching movies on a tiny phone screen anyway. Making it that tall makes it ridiculously annoying to reach the top of the screen, made worse by google's decision to move sidebars to the top in apps like the play store etc.

Alpha, 03 Jul 2021Not like Samsung, it doesn't have stupid lens to photo... moreI would have liked the Sony to have an optical zoom as good as the Xiaomi or the Samsung on it. I would also have liked the basic mode to have the option (note option) of the computational photography of the iPhone or pixels (which are better than the HDR Sony offers). I probably wouldn't use them that much but they are improvements over what Sony offers and I would happily have them. The problem with most people is that they want the phone they have or are going to get to be the absolute best, so when a different phone has something that their phone doesn't, they try to convince themselves and everybody else, that it is a gimmick and they wouldn't want it anyway. The truth is that if it is an additional option with minimal drawbacks and not an alternative then everyone would rather have them than not.
