Anonymous, 31 Oct 2024I'm still having difficult time understand what's... moreBest display with most accurate colors ,highest resolution on a smartphone, prolly best speakers on the market,aux,sd card (I got 1tb sd card on mine ,not having any second thoughts if I should take a video in 4k or FHD),best camera ,especially in manual mode,one of the cleanest Ui's,one and snapiest ,the most durable phones (drops and some clumsy handling won't stop it from working).If you ever had a sony tech you would know what is it about. Mostly high quallity materials and insane durability.Been using mostly sony products for a long time including 4 sony wireless speakers,3 sony headphones,1 earbuds , 1 TV, 5 smartphones and a ps4 pro.Never had a problem that requires me to contact their support. Its mostly some unnoticable trouble ,it was hard to find OEM tips for the earbuds,other than that all the tech I've had and still have is rock solid.Dropped all phones plus speakers,been rough even on the headphones from time to time.Oh forgot to add,besides their phones price drops ,all other products keep their value for a really long time .Got the WH-1000XM3 about 4 years ago for 170 £ second hand (just bought a new pads and made em look brand new) ,sold em after 3 years of use for 150£.The devaluation of their phones might be not as bad if you dont mind buying refurbished phones.You can get an epic deal half a year after release. I doubut theres as happy samsung or apple customers as there are sony.So yeah if you care about quality you wouldn't think twice. As british people say,cheap things are expensive.So if you wanna have quality tech ,you need to spend.

I'm still having difficult time understand what's Sony phones worth this price?
Are the cameras that good or what exactly is it to justify the price?
Or maybe it's much better than what spec sheet shows.
I haven't had any chance of trying.

Sony Xperia UI was so rough that Microsoft luncher was even better than it!
No self respecting user would use third-party luncher unless the UI suck that much.
Buy the phone and try it sweetcheek and then come back and shït talk others that can actually afford it.

Record something good with rec2100 (with alpha 7Sm3 or FX3) and then speak about color accuracy. You're talking total nonsense, I have comprassion with Macbook Pro M2 display.

XD Didn't try it in 4 days I had it, frankly I don't use video recording from phones, but from what the photo side of it was doing, I would say it should be good too.
It was portraying Alfa camera look.

Very unrefined UI, after using it for 2hrs, installed Microsoft luncher and worked much better but the phone overall is below meh!
60hz refresh rate is terrible, makes the phone seems laggy and dated.
Terrible thermal/heat distribution, phone gets hot under barely any stress.
Sim eject is nail pull rather than conventional push sim ejector.
Odd screen shape long and narrow
No facial recognition unlock?! Seriously Sony?!
Lacking basic native apps, no clock widget with weather, no note app, settings seems weird compared to default android, something is missing.
Slow charging for today's standard.
Camera was great but broken in 3 apps makes it slow and inconvenience.
Decent screen quality but there are phones with better AMOLED options cheaper than wanna be premium.
Headphone jack, you think it's a nice feature but then realize all your headphones are Bluetooth!
Barely any decent case or screen protector options in US or Japan, clearly tells you no one cares!
There aren't any decent phones that is not made by ccp
Checked out numerous phones, very little good option without chance of China spying in your device.
Xperia 1V unboxing was perhaps worst experience in any phone. Oddly enough it was same exact as Beats headphones packaging but that comes with carry case and usb c cord and that's an apple product expected for most overrated company to cut corner.
But again the phone itself was nothing more than basic like it's packaging... Returned after 2 days.
2 days before returning Sony Xperia 1 v, returned OnePlus 12, that one the UI was terrible.
Phone history recent to past.
After returning Sony,
Now - ASUS ZenFone 11 ultra(so far been very good, better screen, UI, fast charge, headphone jack for whatever reason and great performance so far, will review under spec if it makes it before return window closes)

Love it! The quality, the feeling of using it - Sony is ... well Sony :) spirit of excellence. I have SD card and use jack 3.5 headset . Call me old fashioned but I love it.
I had Samsung before, but they dropped the SD cards which was frustrating - we are forced to pay more ...
Glad that this happened since I came back to Sony :))
