I think it might be xperia 5 V

I have an LG V60, which retailed for a thousand dollars CAD. I got it for far cheaper than that. However, I haven't cracked the screen because I'm smart enough to be careful with my phone and use a case. I didn't buy my phone to look cool, nobody cares what phone you have. I bought it to take pictures, record video, edit video, listen to music, record music with a USB audio interface. What I use my phone for, legitimately could not be done on a cheaper model. The snapdragon 865 may not be the newest, but it also has hardware features like display out, Quad DAC, and expandable storage.

Luke Price, 24 Aug 2023Love everything about this phone, has made me want to take ... moreOh, thank you for your honesty "I have faced the phone going blank on two occasions but did a YouTube search and rebooted by pressing the power and volume keys so was an easy fix." That is due to video drivers critical bugs which will never be fixed but expected to live with reboots. Not really reliable for business, I must say, I cannot trust it. If it had been still functioning like a regular phone after that crash or at least rebooting itself like Windows does now it may have been passable as a cheap phone.

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2023It is not worth paying over one thousand dollars for a phon... moreYou are not right. I own full frame new camera and Ive tested 1V (everything on YT) and all I can say that in many aspects 1V is very close to mirrorless camera. VideoPro is mind blowing app, 4K120fps HLG looks amazing even in low light.

It is not worth paying over one thousand dollars for a phone. You may drop it and crack the screen, you may sit on it and bend it or it may just fail its hardware after one year. Nobody cares what phone you carry in a pocket, people may look at your watch or your car but not at your phone. For professional photography, a dedicated photo camera device beats all smart phone cameras because it has larger optical lenses, it is a physics fact that the digital silicon cannot give more clear pixels than the large glass lenses.

Love everything about this phone, has made me want to take more pictures now as photos taken look DSLR like even on a computer screen, unlike those from aggressive HDR enforced mobile cameras these days where you zoom and the photo is like an oil painting.

No overheating or any other issues on my unit as reported by some users. I have faced the phone going blank on two occasions but did a YouTube search and rebooted by pressing the power and volume keys so was an easy fix. I don't really take photos of the moon so for everyday photography and as a phone, this is just perfect.

All in all a great experience, I have thoroughly enjoyed using a phone after a long time and would highly recommended it!

                  > Xperia 1 V shooting 4K60@150Mbps not dropping any frames

So guys, as you can see here, because the Xperia shuts off sooner, we can conclude that it has an overheating issue, despite working over 3x as hard, and stopping before it starts dropping frames. As usual, samsung is the winner, because they are the best, thanks for watching like and subscribe, ring that notification bell and be sure to share.

The fingerprint reader is so convenient. I have been hating the multiple tries required for face/on-screen fingerprint unlock from other phones. Clearly the phone of the year from Sony with this complete package!

Took delivery of one today. Not even set up it got warm from just doing free camera tests and youtube videos for sound quality. It is amazing the camera only if you know how to set it up, it definitely is not s good point and shoot camera. Plus Sony still hasnt fixed the overheating.

I do enjoy good camera phones as these are the gadgets we always have in hand and end up taking the most pictures with. I recently traded my S23 Ultra to get the Xperia 1V and I am blown away by the image quality. The Samsung had water colour like artifacts when you zoomed in to the taken photos (I did use the best of settings I found online) and seems gimmicky. I love it for the other features like the Spen and the display but I am just making my observation on the camera here. The Xperia output is very similar to what you would get with a Nokia 808 or the Lumia phones - years later and the photos are still worth it. So if anyone is thinking of getting this phone just for the camera, you will not be disappointed.

Some cons as opposed to S23 Ultra:
I prefer the size and style of S23 Ultra so 1 V does feel kind of narrow and weird.
Editing with Spen is obviously a delight so that's there.
                          Battery charging speed and indurance.

I was worried in trading the S23 Ultra for this but am really happy that I did - will be a great travel companion for me!

Just true about ExmorT. Find low light 4K samples on YT ;)
                            No one believe.

oi, 18 Aug 2023True i like the phone but not the SOC all that muchThen, why did Kai W test the Xperia 1 V's 4K@60fps recording under the sun for 4 hours+ and never manage to overheat and only stop because of low power/low battery? Well, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and its better efficiency and thermal management are the answer. This is far better than the 1 IV's 4K@60fps recording with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
