side mounted fingerprint lmfao, that alone enough to put me off. typical sony from year 2002 hahhahahahhahha. Somehow they will try to justify the price with some fancy cameras. 0 software development as well.

Always moving, never sleep. Probably couldn't even use a cell phone until a couple of years ago, because the charging was just too slow. Sounds rough. Glad there are options for you finally.

My Nokia 8 from 2017 takes a hour to charge from 25% to 100%, even with a measly 3000mAh battery and it's perfectly fine for me.
I'm honestly shocked that there are phones with higher charge wattages and are very slow to charge

If you live a life that revolves around sitting on your a55 all day, of course slow charging is not a problem. Most of us are actually busy people, we want to get stuff done, we can't afford to wait hours for the damn phone to get charged. Get it?

Mangoon, 27 May 2023Neither side of the aisle on Sony will likely enjoy this po... moreStop giving too much credit, that post is almost entirely incorrect in the criticism of 1V. Only correct bit of criticism is:
1. Pointless 4k screen
Yes, that's the only one. Every other bit of criticism of 1V in that themselves deserve extremely harsh words. Whoever wrote that post has only started research on smartphones a few days ago, because the level of ignorance is astonishing. As a result, it will take ages trying to write on every single, very basic errors made there. I'll just point to one or two:
1. Where's the evidence of "slower" wifi standards? Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e, tri-band not fast enough for you huh?
2. Which flagship offers IR blaster, IR biometric sensor, ultrasonic FP scanner in same package? If none why you expect Sony to have all? Sony has none, so what? Does any of your favourite flagship offer microSD, headphone jack, IP65, reliable side mounted fingerprint scanner?

KaChai, 18 May 2023I read some many complains and jibber-jabbers about Sony... moreI'm getting this phone, and maybe someone knows this because I'm not sure. I keep looking for a 512gb model that would work with Verizon (CDMA), but have only found unlocked 256gb models that should work with all carriers. Verizon still using relatively antiquated network instead of GSM. The only model number I can actually find is the XQ-DQ72, but when I look up 512 models, they seem to say that they won't work with Verizon/Sprint.

h3keem, 12 May 2023charging speed is from stone age I've seen this...complaint...in other forms previously. Are there times in most users' lives where they think "Oh, man! I have GOT to charge my phone in 30 minutes!!!" Maybe it's a numbers game. I suppose people could even say a 4K is more a numbers game than actual performance or aesthetics. I just don't believe that the standard charging use for people is an actual need to charge a phone less than an hour a day.
