This is the perfect high quality top phone in everything from the specs to the design. The main problems are hugh price, lack of global availability and lack of os update for at least 4 years

Enough ppi and less stress on cpu/gpu when doing something with phone. Of course battery will be better too. I just asked if there is an option for 2k in between 4k and full hd. No need for other non sense thanks!

You can't even integer scale it, so there will be blur and other problems (arguably not a problem with such a high PPI, but still). On the other hand, fHD is directly interer-scaled to 4k without any quality loss or compression.

Anonymous, 22 May 2023Is there a way in sony 4k phones to select 2k resolution in... moreProbably not. And this 4k/2k thing is a gimmick completely uncharacteristic of Xperia which tend to champion practicality. What's the point of these high resolutions on such small smartphone screens where even 480p is perfectly acceptable? I'll personally get 5v just to avoid this evil 4k screen. Could they not put something more practical such as adaptive refresh rate instead of such gimmick?

Doze mo... moreDoze mode is like 7 years old at this point and RAM Plus isn't a new feature, it's literally rebranded zRAM/swap which has been in phones even longer than doze mode. The thing is, new Android versions *used to* give actual new features and they used to improve performance too, but nowadays it feels like Google has run out of new ideas for actually good Android features as have the OEMs with ideas for their Android skins.
You could use Android 10 nowadays and not miss out on any major features, and it's even faster on most phones.

Doze mode, suspend execution of cached apps, ram plus and many other features appeared during past years. Some features you can't see clearly but they are trying to improve your experience more and more. Can I feel difference between these android version? 12 and 13 not so much but 12 and 14 I can feel it. I hope one day sony will release at least 3 major OS upgrades to their flagships. Then I highly consider it. Otherwise It looks like this is very good phone.

I'm glad Sony has not given up on the U.S. market. As long as they keep making phones and staying true to who they are I'll support them. My Xperia 5 IV is great even after all the negative reviews on overheating issues. I think reviewers getting pre production models give premature thoughts before updates and other reviewers piggy back. Sometimes it's best for consumers to test out products themselves and ignore the narrative of YouTubers.
