About software:
I'm planning to stay with this phone for long and see how software plays (I used to change phones every year or every half year - I finally have device I'm happy with!)
So gar I never had issues with 1V or current 1VI, unlike Samsung gadgets, I have work phone Sam's and watch, and if hardware is good on devices, software is garbage on Samsung that can drive people crazy
I saw many comments when people had to give up on their Sam's watches only due to their software issues forcing to do hard reset 😔

I bought this phone on preorder and received free XM5 headphones
I owned previously Sony 1V, before was Pixel 7pro, wife has 15 pro max
So I have devices to compare with:
1. This phone is a good improvement to 1V, I can't really see any difference in screen, it's good as it was on 1V and much brighter, I would say it stays brighter on the sun better than iPhone
2. Battery is just fantastic - i never worry about charging, and even stopped charging overnight, it's much been than on iPhone max, if i find my phone around 50% I'm confident it will last the day
3. It has a great sound quality especially via ldac (if paired with Sony headphones you get sound very close to monitor headphones)
4. Camera is really good
I'm glad they made it more auto since previous gens - sometimes there is no time to do all the settings)
You get nice shots, and can make them great with effort
5. Form factor is nice if you have their official case with the ring (and I definitely prefer this screen ratio over 1V)
What I don't like:
1. There was a problem with mic in 1V it was too quiet in some videos and even apps and it's still persists in 1VI - definitely improved but I don't know why isn't it just loud enough

Sony XPERIA Lineups it's best alternative for Samsung phone and Chinese phone ! Yes it's a little expensive I don't know why but if you want a Good Phone with No Sam Full of Blotware App System.
And Clean Android Stock Experience and Small, little and light Midrange Phone this is the best alternative for the moment .
And yes Sony Offer just 3 Major UPDATE for Android+1 years Security Patch totally 4 years .

bezels with a camera and front facing stereo speakers.
Samsung has tons of bloatware, had an S24 ultra for 2 weeks, it constantly wanted me to sign up for samsung services, horrible. not to mention it's too big to hold.
had a 1+12 for a month it was better than the S24 but it had a curved display which I hate and the notification slider kept being switched unintentionally when I put it in my pockets. Aquatouch is also a moot feature, I never used it once.
The XP1 VI is simply the phone closest to perfect for me.
