Pooting, 15 May 2024I can live without the 21:9 ratio but moving from 4k to 108... moreIt's still has 396 ppi density, which is more than enough. An only insanity is the price. Red price for this is 800 euro.

Also main camera lens is too cheap and primitive.

I can live without the 21:9 ratio but moving from 4k to 1080p resolution is absolute insanity.

Flagship phones from other brands with the price tag that Sony wants for the VI have 1440p as standard.

This is a huge deal breaker for me and if the VII doesn't have a 1440p display then I may have to move on from Sony after being an Xperia user since the Z2.

It is 3mm wider, Oh no! /s

LTRace, 15 May 2024Sony taking HUGE W 🔥🔥 Amazing phone ✅Partial W. The display has been downgraded from a 4K one to a 1080p and the price is still pretty eye-watering

If that longer software support thing is true then I may actually buy that thing since there's virtually no other option out there, although I would really like a smaller 5 VI in 6.1"
Sony needs to stop this dumb release policy where they wait with the 5, just why?

That battery life is pure madness 😱

Stonie, 15 May 2024Finally, Sony appear to have regained the plot... coming fr... moreEven coming from a 1V, I'm somewhat tempted to switch, the camera upgrades are appealing

                        So, the changes in summary:

W: very long battery life, better color rendering, better variable optical zoom with macro capabilities, louder and better-sounding speakers, better hi-res audio, less gimmicky photo apps, LTPO, longer support (3 software, 4 security), new SD8 g3

Divisive: changed aspect ratio and no 4K

L: puny FHD+, same sensors (especially the tele is a disappointment), red color Japan-exclusive, no 16GB RAM option, price sky high as always, non-asia markets limited to 256GB storage

Good thing that they kept the notchless display, front-firing speakers, jack, and SD card.
Some of the wins could ofc fall apart after the reviews come in.

Just my opinion, 15 May 2024is that true ?I'm not sure, could be. It's just a guess, a probable guess

Didn't the leaks say there's gonna be a 12/16 gb option? Or am i missing something anyways big win adding microsd

                              David 040882, 15 May 2024I think it's Japan-onlyis that true ?

Farhan733, 15 May 2024Wtf, from a 4k display to straight down to 1080p? At least ... moreI do not notice the difference between not even 720p and 1440p on the s21 ultra on bright screens + it might help in longer lasting battery life so small win

Hmm. I thought the periscope lens will be of 48 MP instead of 12 MP. I feel a little bit disappointed to be honest, but I am glad they updated the zoom range, I hope it will be better than it was last year.

That phone has 17:27 Hrs in a gsmarena's battery test. That's amazing

Noice --- Only This and vivo x100 ultra caught my interest so far but who will be Victor, I wonder. I will have to ask my budget.

Looks like a phone from 2016. Sony also retained the previous sensors. No innovation whatsoever, and then they wonder why the Xperia lineup do not sell well. What a joke.
