Super solid device, perfect photos for instagram and other social cr**, battery life is among the best and surprisingly very good software updates + good size for one hand.

Asus zenfone 10 has all of those features and costs less, battery lasts way longer as well. That basically sums up sony fans. Buying overpriced tech just to support the brand. And they hating on apple doing the same thing lol

I've been upgrading my Sony phones 2 yearly ever since the Xperia one. I don't really mind the drop in resolution or form factor although I love watching films in 21:9 on my iv. Will miss that a bit. Glad it is supported by SD 8 gen 3. Hope the cameras are much better. I am still a bit underwhelmed by the camera quality, other phones like pixel so much better. As an audio fan tho I would rather stick with Sony then move to Google pixel but it's a tough call ...

How is the battery time gonna be? I remember when I owned a xperia 5 battery has lasted long, then xperia 1 ii, and iii both with rubbish battery life. If I buy this one than I have to sell my Iqoo 12. Big decision got to be made here. I hope I not gonna regret it.

What if I buy Sony Xperia 1 Mark 6?
It has an SD card slot and 1200GB SD support.
I don't need Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra or Vivo X100 Ultra.
Sony Xperia 1 Mark 6 now has 3 years of Android updates, which is enough and it has APTX Lossless Bluetooth codec.
Well, 1TB SD card is enough for me.

I went from the Sony Xperia Z5P to the 5 II and losing the 4k display were more of an upgrade. As the 4k display just drained more battery and caused overheating faster. 90-95% of the time the Z5P were running at 1080p and only when using gallery/camera/video and a few movie apps such as bravia core it was actually running at 4k. Having 4k on such a small display is pretty pointless as the improved sharpness and detail is almost imperceptible compared to 1080p at 400ppi unless you're pixel peeping. 21:9 were awesome for scrolling through the web though so that's the biggest loss imo, but the pros outnumbers the cons. 1 VI already pre ordered and I'm looking forward to better audio and battery life.
