Amazing phone!
Can't believe that Sony made a camera system like no other! Having optical zoom at 0.6x 1x, 2x, and continuous optical zoom from 3.5x to 7.1x is the most amazing thing anyone has ever accomplished in a smartphone!
Cant wait for the gsmarena review of this phone, i expect it to obliterate all 2024 camera phones on the market!

I wonder if the individual pixels will be noticable with 396ppi 🤔 As long as i can't see them it's fine.
And for the main camera, i wish they would have used a 1" sensor like other manufacturers, but at least i hope they improve the software processing in auto mode.

Remember very well.. if you're a Sony fan, you're gonna be able to tell how long you use your phones before the battery got destroyed. I have use over 12 of their smartphones and i can tell the battery could last for 4 years and sometimes more before replacement. I got my old Xperia 5 still working with battery health still on 82% after 3 years of steady use. I'm currently still having my Xperia 1 iii which is over a year and 6 months and the battery health is still 92%. I just haven't bought the Xperia 1 iv and v because i didn't see much differences and the price is a bit way too high for my budget since i have my family to take care of. Thanks. A gift of it i will sincerely appreciate it since i love Sony phones as they're very durable and has the best multimedia you can ever find out there

Sadly I think I will be moving away from SONY now I am really disappointed in this launch the cameras seem to carry it some what pretty well but the Hardware is not up to par with the Samsung devices S24 ULTRA I might be moving to that 200MP camera and just use RAW images for shooting. I think they could have kept the 4K screen and a better panel that would give better performance as well. Sadly I have owned a Sony for the past 15 years but it seems like it wont be the case this time. Do better Sony !

Sony Xperia 1 Mark VI has the Bluetooth codecs what I need, but it sadly doesn't have 1TB storrage and it also seems to have still only 2 years of Android updates.
512GB would run out in months, I have too much data.

It comes bundled with the XM5. Taking that in to consideration the price is no biggie. I will definitely buy.

After so many years, Sony finally found out there is LTPO screen technology, vapor chamber technology and screens that are brighter than 1000 nits.
Still, I am heavily disappointed. I expected a QHD resolution screen but Sony went down to FHD. The main cam has a small f/1.9 aperture. The telephoto camera has a tiny 1/3.5" sensor but wants to offer up to 7x continuous zoom. The ultra-wide remains with a small 1/2.5" sensor too.
At least the main camera received a decent sensor, it took Sony until 2023 to throw away that crap 12mp 1/1.7" sensor.
All in all, the hardware is disappointing concerning the fact that Sony claims to make the best and most professional camera phones.
The new camera app is a welcome change, who would have the time to set all the settings manually on that tiny 21:9 screen to get the perfect shot? The eagle would fly away until the cameraman gets his messy phone ready, not to mention there were three different camera apps.
Moreover, they release their phones shortly before other premium manufacturers move to the next generation, their software support was laughable until now (let's hope this changes now) and their prices are too high for what they offer.

can someone explain to me why this phone exist? I mean slow charging, has a 2017 chin, 6.5 screen. Why cant sony bring their designs up to speed while still keeping 3.5 and sdxc?
