Great phone. Super fast, slim and efficient. Only thing I am concerned is the battery drains 10% overnight on stand by mode VS 2 years old xz premium 4% overnight.

@Chris.T. I used to have 8hrs of screen time, now I get 10 hours + 20% battery left.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2020What's the battery life like?Let me put it simple. The iPhone 11 Pro Max that has 3969mAh got 102h in endurance test and the Huawei P30 Pro that has 4200mAh got 100h and people said the battery is excellent, can last 2 days under normal usage and this phone got 96h in endurance test

                  Xperia 5: The Truth

Prior to purchasing an Xperia 5, I read and watched many, many reviews of this phone. To be generous, I can only say that nearly all were based upon an alternative set of facts. This phone is the best I have used and has performed perfect in all areas. In particular,

fingerprint sensor: It never misses!! It is thin and you must depress it in the same manner in which you set it up. So, if it is missing, then just reset it to your actual usage.
Edge Sense: the reviews claim that it never works. While the tapping is a bit sketchy, you must simply choose the “slide” option and it works all of the time.
Button placement: The main criticism here is that the thumb cannot reach the power button. Not so, it is perfectly positioned to be depressed with the thumb without undue movement of the hand.
Can’t reach the top to scroll down notifications: simply activate the option to scroll down anywhere on the home screen and you have it, again without movement of the hand.
The 29:1 screen is not practical: Not so. It is a beautiful screen with every app I have used fitting just fine. And the split screen switch is very useful.
Screen brightness insufficient: Not so. I live in Hawaii and work outdoors. It can easily be viewed in the sunlight. And if you want a still brighter screen with 650 NITS, just turn on the Creator Mode.
Can’t be used on Verizon: Not so. It is Verizon Certified and works perfectly.

Simply, this is a fullsized phone with the best flagship hardware and is still a one-handed phone. Not only is it thin at 68mm but the one-handed mode and the edge sense make it a joy to use one-handed.

It sells for $698 which is far cheaper than the rest.

                  Sony nailed it.

The Xperia 5 Mark II is going to be exceptional. It's just a shame we waited all this time to put the buttons back in the right place!
