just ... moreJust dont buy Japan Variants because they are hardware locked specially from Softbank, you can't cross flash firmware for your specific region to get better signal.
That's also one reason Japan Sony Phones are sold very cheap compared to Global Versions of them.

just ... moreI'd say so, I am waiting for the xperia 1 VII which will have a major and long awaited upgrade (~1/2" exmor T telephoto)
Had the phone for a week now, one sole complaint is the battery life, I get 6 hours SOT with 86% battery capacity 90-20%
Build quality is excellent, screen looks nice (no green lines from me!) photos are better than midrangers, LOVE the camera button, speakers aren't the loudest but they have great quality, brightness is fine even in the sun, the stock OS is lackluster but it works and you can get lineage on it. As for performance it's very stable but not the strongest since it's y know 5 years old, it will run anything but don't expect ultra 60 fps

Anonymous, 22 Mar 2025getting one, will be a temp phone until the 1 mk7 releases ... moreBought it for 140€, 86% battery capacity, stock (A12), no green lines. Should be good for another year or two. Everything is great save for the flashlight which is ridiculously weak.

Unfortunately, after 3,5 years of use a small green line appeared on the screen this morning.
It goes horizontal from the front camera down to the screen controls.
oh, battery life is not as good as it was back in the day's...
searching for a replacement

Have this phone already 4.5 years, works as new, 2 years ago I got me the Samsung Flip 4, it is still in the box.. the Sony is better in everything.
