I'm so glad Sony decided to continue with the compact market. If these rumors are true, this will annihilate the Galaxy S20 and P40 in terms of compact phone specs. Front-facing stereo speakers, headphone jack with DAC, Photo Pro with ZEISS optics, 120Hz refresh rate, 4,000mAH battery (amazing battery capacity for a phone this size), and microSD card slot. Oof. If they price it at $800 or less, I know a number of compact lovers that would want this device.

Mobo, 29 Aug 2020By current rumored specs looks like a phone I've been ... moreIt ll be available in October/November.
And competition, well, will do something else not the same, and at about same pricepoint...
So no hassle, I doubt you ll see other phones with same set of features, even in early 2021.

By current rumored specs looks like a phone I've been waiting for. Shame it has no radio though.

So they will "release" it in September and we will not be able to buy it until January or even later when competition will do something new for less money.

Mas Sakti, 27 Aug 2020Xperia 5 has 3140 maH and 6,1 OLED without HRR, and get 96h... moreNow there's another leak that said it will have 4000 maH, same display but with 120 Hz refresh rate. Xperia 5 (first gen) has 6,1 Oled too without HRR and get 96h on battery test. Xperia 1 ii, has 4000 maH, 6,5 Oled without HRR (still in 60 Hz), and get 83h on battery test. Let's hope that Xperia 5 ii will get not less than 80h on battery test.

I wish the BANDS that the phones support were listed on this site. Are they and I am just missing it? Before I even consider the features of a phone, the most important is "will it run on my carrier's network 100%?"

yeah and thats why the sides should be flat and not round ...

if its truly planned to be a successor for the Z/XZ series then wth does it have a 120hz refresh rate? who needs bling bling if battery life is the key?
also they should re-enable the old stamina mode. Doze mode just gives me 1-2 hours instead of a half day on my older Z5/Z3.

hopefully it will be at a reasonable price ...

                                    impatiently waiting for test :)
