It cut off a portion of the black film of the display hence it would be visible under direct light. See S21's ultrasonic or even optical would have a slightly visible 'hole/mark' on the screen when its off. Sony would not risk their beautiful 4k oled display for that, as so on the little 5 III as well.

Very bad experience of these very narrow screens. The text becomes even smaller. It is difficult to read.

Sony no more exist in middle east, at least in UAE no. This looks like good phone and size. But it is expensive. Unfortunately we cannot buy in UAE. Wish we had here.

Look closerDoesn't matter.
Having a specific camera shutter button isn't a requirement as the other hardware buttons can be easily remapped to a camera shutter button.

Also, Sony phones are usually released 2-3 months after announcement. Early summer = July or August. Happy waiting.

And the volume keys are used for camera zoom, and one can't be used as shutter button. Very few phone software these days rely on hardware keys because it's easier development wise to just have a software button on the touch screen.

I was waiting for this announcement. I will continue this years with my galaxy s9 and hope the price will fall at 600-700€ in the 2022 Q1 or before with cashback

Unique screen and aspect options, unique sound options, unique gaming options, unique photography and cinematography options, unique battery managment.
Search a bit into all of these, dont just patronise by default.
The promo is actually sufficient to ackowledge what they charge for here.
