my xz2 compact can have 8hrs sot...
while my 1 ii gives me 9hrs sot...
both from 100% to 0%...
but, now i do not drain my battery, i just charge in the morning from whatever is left from the previous day to 90%...
no problem on battery life...
currently at 59% from 90%...
sot is at a little over 3 hours on my xz2 compact
and knowing that this has small battery, it is impressive...

wkndbg, 23 Sep 2022it looks awsome thats whyBut it makes it hard to find a good screen protector for the phone, and also the screen is more exposed to cracking by dropping. It’s not always about looks.

Headphone jack and flat display without holes arr great. Round display corners are useless and could be done optionally by software. Display aspect ratio is a bit too extreme. But why only Hybrid Slot? I need 512gb + Dual Sim. At least Sony is going its own way which is a good direction...

Overheating is Sony's biggest issue. Loyal Ericsson/Sony Ericsson/Sony user over many years, and One of my Xperia's overheated and died. Current Xperia 10 II gets hot very quickly and the UK saw a huge heatwave and I was out at open air shows. Phone kept in pocket was boiling. Thankfully didn't die, but when it gets hot it's laggy. Plus, since Sony took away custom sound equalizer setting and just gave the DSEE-HX audio enhancement there's no customisable options. 3.5mm jack, microSD etc all good things. Will I stay loyal to Sony come March 2023?

P.s. I like everything in Xperia 1/5 series except 4 (things), they can't record video at 8k, they have huge bezels, they charge extremely slow, and they have only 2 major upgrades, and yeah, Xperia 5 IV doesn't even have optical zoom at all(

Note7 owner, 11 Sep 2022All my previous Sony Xperia have had horrible battery life ... moreMy XZ3 (37 months of use) has battery care mode on, Im charging with 5W charger and condition is 97%. 30-37hours usage betwren chargings. After 3 years it works like almost new. You lie man. Thats all.

So this phone is really a practical phone which every one wants . Good camera , headphone jack and display . Sony really played well

Could have been a good phone but ruined by the fact that it only has 2 years software updates. That's not enough considering it is a flagship phone.
