Anonymous, 21 Apr 2025I doubt it as I see people complaining about Motorola havin... moreNo phone will be completely glitch free but I can tell even the old Motorola G100 feels less glitchy and overall smoother than Xperia 5V.
On top of that, with Xperia:
1. No way to take quick screenshot, such as swiping with 3 fingers, where nearly every other manufacturer allows it.
2. You get only one custom colour option in themes for some reason, in Pixel and Motorola you get many.
3. You get a photo nearly or just as processed and artificial looking as other brands, but at the same time you get slower focus and blurriness and no useful features such as document mode. Good luck taking a clear picture of a document such as letter, invoice, receipt etc with a Xperia.
4. Stuck at 60hz when using YouTube (stock or revanced) app

I don't recommend this phone. While software is stock Android like, it's rather unrefined and glitchy unlike something like Motorola.
Also, waterproofing isn't good at all.
Sony phones used to be much better and much more reliable than this. Looks like their quality degraded.

I... morethe 5 II is the most perfect phone in the 5 line, but the 5V is not at all behind, in fact the only thing holding it back are the side bezels being too thick for comfort. (I currently use the 5 II but had a friends 5 V for 6 days). Other than that its obviously better in every way but for the times these phones released the 5 II was more perfect.

It got constantly warm without doing anything heavy, and battery life wasn't great.
The battery life was as bad as another phone with same chip in it; therefore, I assume it was about the chip.
It was a good design overall for look and feel, but they used a bad chip.

5 series always goes back after 5 III. it was real king. 5 III was better than 5 IV. and 5 IV is better than 5 V. ıncredible. even I (as sony fan for 8 years) am goıng to buy s25 if sony wont announce new compact flagship with 1 series. but real one. lcd and lcd frame was terrible on 5 V. I hope they brıng 19.5:9 format with 5 VI

I could be wrong, just feel like they will continue falling down.

I'd say if only 1.5 times more, then I will actually consider.
Of course, everyone has different value definition tho; I'm just saying what I feel.
I mean the device is on online shopping app price list, right? Then I see that price... like for example Moto G40 pro or stuff like that (even though their cameras aren't good), it costs almost 3 times less... and that's what people generally sees it.
