It has 3-stage charging. 0-80% speed charging, 81-100% continuous charging and lastly trickle charging stage (around 25 mins of extra charging when battery reached 100%). It is meant that way to prolong batter life.
As for the huge battery depletion below 35%, it happens also to my xperia but a simple restart does the trick. After restart, battery percentage depletion back to normal. :)

This phone is best in each class all games plays smoothly and i scored 21st rank 90% time in ashphalt 8 even i am not good player :P camera also good with 3rd party app all things good .
BUT BUT BUT READ THIS if these 3 issues solved then must buy -
these universal problems with xperia c , all these occurs with all my xperia c phones replaced 4 times and still same issue in 5th xperia c phone . many others also facing same as i read reviews problems in xperia c -
1. Apps or Games in SD Card (any brand or any class card) which having shortcut on home screen disappears after restart , but shortcut of apps or games which are in internal storage (phone memory) remains on home screen even after restart . same issue in 5th xperia c phone :( .
2. Big Issue - Whenever Battery reaches to 35% or near this then it drains very fast in 2-3 minute it reduced by 20% until i switch off and switch on after 5 minute with all things off & with low battery mode on , it stop then and work as usual . From 100% to 35% it is very nice as it drains very very low and drains 3% in 1 hour with average use . so it is very very big issue . also replace phone 4 times same issue .
3. Again with battery related - Sometimes when we do call while charging and after disconnecting it stops at 80% however it shows charging on but it charges very very slow and charges 4% only in 1 hour which is very less than its normal time which is 32% in 1 hour . also replace phone 4 times same issue .
no service center and customer support could solve these however they tried many times but cant succeed , so solve these issues if any xperia representative seeing this .

how to create new folder on album picture at sd card?
there are 2 directory 1 is 'sd card; 2nd in 'sdcard1'?

i have bought xperia c on 2 nov 2013,,,,this phone is so good i cant compare it with micro max or Samsung bcz it"ll be idiculous thing,,,,quality of camera is so good,,,,processer is also good 1.2 ghz quad core...clarity of videos is amazing....3g speed is superb...so plz dont confuse about this phone...though its internal memory is 4gb but u can move ur apps on memory card....very nice phone...plz dont compare it wid any Chinese company...u"ll get quality

I've bought this phone. Love it so much. I experience no lag while browsing , fb, whatsapp and light gaming such as fun run. The phone memory is 1003mb , internal storage is 1.20gb but left 0.92gb.Apps can be moved to sd card and by SD card it's not moving into internal storage. Definitely a great phone.

The higher the bitrate, the harder it is for the phone. Even a 480p video with a very high bitrate will struggle on the phone. If that's too complicated for you, stick with 720p videos and below. Watching a 1080p video on a qHD screen doesn't make sense anyway.

The phone is good in terms of performance. But front cam is worst. Also when u r travelling or in any crowdy place, u cud hardly listen to music or call. This is a drawback. Else everything is good

Very nice phone with best sound output and input. Superb battery bakup.plays all 1080 movies without any delay.
Only thing to worry is low internal memory of only 1gb.
Otherwise value for money ph when compared to grand and s3
