You just need to touch the screen lightly before the back light goes off, when playing movies the player app will keep it on during playback. Smart stay might not be working in low light situation – the front camera is unable to detect your eyes.
While we can easily swipe our finger to unlock the screen, then why we need to do it more complicated? Lets say you can put the phone 2m away and magically open the lock screen with your magic words, but what next: you still need your fingers to use the phone!
Smart pause, smart scroll – funny that when Sony released water resistant phones, haters then said: who will use their phones underwater? If I have my both hands then why do I need smart pause and smart scroll features??
Xperia C has a feature to help you in capturing yourself photo using the back camera, switch on the self-portrait function and the intelligent voice guide will tell you where to move, making sure your face fits the frame perfectly. This way, you take pictures using the main camera, meaning the quality will always be superb.

It has the same Power VR544 GPU used by Exynos octa, but different in graphic IP cores configuration. In results it got 286Mhz of clock speed in MT6589 and 533Mhz in Exynos. Hence i think GPU performance on this phone is comparable to Adreno 305 only.

i'm not taking about high end smartphone from sam
i'm taking about budget phone like galaxy core, ace 3, galaxy win
That's why samsung is best in every way
& another thing sony's on screen button, that is the worst thing about sony,, this reduces screen size
sam & others provides full screen for full function of smartphone

Its a bit pity for not having mobile bravia engine 2 like xperia SP and doesn't have any resistant glass on it. otherwise, it's very good for mid range phone

And by looking at their number C2105 & C5302, I guess Xperia C (C2305) stands in the middle.
So perhaps it's around 3.500.000 IDR
Maybe Sony trying to sell 5" smartphone cheaper than it's competitor.
Hopefully Sony can do better with their warranty in Indonesia

mahesh, 06 Jul 2013it should have atleast 8gb internal memory even grand has itAll 2012 and 2013 Sony xperia phones are having united memory of internal storage + external sd card and the apps and games can be stored in sd card.so we have 36 gb storage space which is good enough.while on other devices like samsung some apps can not not be installed on sd card.So there is no issue in xperia phones regarding internal storage bcoz it is united with sd card.

still makes sense if we think of compensation's of sony brand,while our local phone like imo s89 sold same phone spec like this for Rp.2.000.000($200) and almost famous brand on phone catagory acer sold about Rp.2.500.000($250)

sohil, 05 Jul 2013Lookng forward for this phone but the chipset(mediatek), no... moreDon't under estimate mediatek.it is better than other soc's in this range.it has better performance than broadcom chip (galaxy grand) and snapdragon 200 cortex a5 cpu and mtk mt6589 is a cortex a7 quadcore.gpu is also better in xperia C Power vr sgx 544 gpu is well known for its performance and its way better than adreno 203 and video core gpu (galaxy grand)

Wow. SGX544 gpu!. It is as same as S4's right? And a quad core processor. But is a mediatek chipset good?. And the internal memory should be at least 8GB for storing app data and game data. Especially HD game. Such as gangstar vegas.
