amrita, 20 Aug 2014M using sony experia c frm last 10 months..but now I am fac... moreThe insufficient space problem is because you should have at least 100 mb free to update your apps...that is the problem that comes with the xperia c you must get and sd card and you must root it and remove blotware

I'm unable to update or install any apps as whenever I try to do that it shows "Error in downloading. There is insufficient space on the device", whereas I have enough memory left in my phone, how to overcome this problem?

I'm too having the problem of low storage.. My mobile still has 75 mb storage rate but the apps are not downloading from playstore... What should I do??

M using sony experia c frm last 10 months..but now I am facing d prblm in updating d apps or downloading any thng frm playstore..it is showing an error of less storage in device,but m having vry mch sufficient space in my phone...i got fed up of dis....i dont knw why dis is hapning....plz tell me wat could I do for dis....???

I've had this phone for a little over a year, it was supposed to be an upgrade from my very old (3 years) HTC Desire.
While on paper the Sony Xperia C should be much superior to the HTC, in practice is at a lower level.
The web pages show better on the Xperia (I expected that from a newer phone) but they take longer to load.
The overall usage of the phone is much worse, trying to place a call takes anything from 5 to 20 seconds, thats right, 20 seconds of waiting after you press the call button, and as time goes by the sound of the call has been getting worse, right now the phone is pretty much useless place a phone call most of the time, so only SMS.
For the camera is the same issue, its supposed to have a quick access to the camera from the blocked screen, and when it does work it takes more than 15 seconds to open the camera, its pretty much useless as its the same time it takes to unlock the phone an open the camera app. Also, when you take a picture there is a lag of about 3 seconds, and very often it does not focus the subject until the second or third shot, so say goodbye to spontaneous pictures of any kind.
The Sony PC companion works some times, so its like flipping a coin to see if it will work today.
So in overall, I am very disapointed on this phone, it was supposed to be an upgrade but its the opposite, if you care about your money just stay away from it. I just wish someone had warned me before.

Compare this phone to the Samsung Galaxy Win, which is the same price, and you will see that the Samsung is a much better value. Fot example, Sony only really delivers less than 1gb of memory you can use and the Samsung delivers at least 3.5 gb you can use.Sony takes almost all it's memory just to "idle". Sony is very weak!!

Dear Friends
I am using this phone for the past five months. Never encountered any problems with it. It is the best phone if you compare the price, dual sim, great music etc.
I only faced the problem of insufficent memory. It was showing only 30mb free. Now i am sitting comfortable with 500+mb free. I recommend these fews steps to free memory.
1)clear cached data
2)in the app info - move app to sd card manually
3)in the app info - uninstall updates for those apps which you think it is not nessary to update. It will work fine with the preset factory settings. this will free considerable memory.
4) in the app info - clear data for those apps which you know is not necessary. But be careful, if you use this option you have to login again for some apps like facebook, whatsapp, viber etc
5)My whatsapp was taking 200+ mb as data in the phone. i went to whatsapp and cleared the conversations which i did not require.
by doing these i got more than 500+ mb

Ankita, 17 Aug 2014phone is 4 days old and the complete software is corrupt.. ... moreIm using ths cell from last 7month..actualy I had a problem with ths bout a month ago like just auto swithcd off or hanging...later on I got the solution...whenever anyone face the problem like hanging or auto switchd then press the power off key plus volume down key at the same time... One logo u suppose to see thn wait for a while..ur cell gonna reboot..n problm resolv...thts it...

Im not satisfied with this phone. Low in memory,poor front cam and the battery is not removable. Brought it twice at the sony center to be fix because it turns off automatically then never turns on again. I only bought this march. :(
