If you are really looking at choosing between these 2 phones (M5 and C5) only, then I would recommend M5.
Reason:-
- M5 has 3gb ram,
- M5 has 21mp rear camera
- M5 screen has higher resolution in terms of ppi
- M5 has better processor, the Helio X10 which is better than C5.
I also have a Sony Z3, from my own experience, Z3 outperformed my M5 even though my M5 is about 1 month old and my Z3 is about 10 months old. But overall camera wise, the M5 did outdo my Z3, slightly.

I've been using it for 2 weeks.... moreHi friend, currently I have Sony Z3 and M5 Dual Sim, actually I'm surprised that you changed from Z3 to C5 because C5 is a mid range phone using MTK Processor and Z3 was last year's flagship. Z3's Snapdragon 801 is still respectable in terms of performance. My other Sony, M5, is using MTK Helio X10 Octacore but still cannot outperform the 801 as the MTK lags while writing huge files between SD card and internal storage. Believe me, Z3 is still a respectable phone, not the top but respectable.

I sell my Z3 and bought C5. I've been using it for 2 weeks. It has an awesome front camera. But it seems it's like it doesn't have an Octacore processor. It is lagging and hanging up that you need to force it to shutdown. I'm quite disappointed.

The Xperia M5 is almost identical to the xperia Z3+, the C5 is way bigger and not waterproff

Could I ask you a question, C5 Ultra can charging by charger: Sony - EP881, is it faster ? and how long it take to full 100 % from 20 % battery by normal charger ? Thank so much !

I like Sony but not this C5 ultra. I used it for a week and sold out.
Please believe me and don't buy it.
1)- It's getting hot and feels occurred in hand. I used to put it in infront of a/c. every 30 min.
2)- Battery life sucks. Too low

I love this phone so much! Everything is so clear, the sound is also good. Yeah it do heat up faster than regular phones (my husband's Xperia Z1 also heats up fast) I guess it must be because of its screen. Am just so concerned about it when it hangs up that I need to reset it and when I do, some of my recently taken pics get deleted! I hope this can be resolved because this phone is so perfect for me!
