This phone is so cute. But the main disadvantages are
1. The body must be thinner.
2. Ram must be 1 gb.
3. The memory must be at least 16 gb.
4. The screen must be better.
5. The body may be metal..

As of the airtime problem.. I've never encountered that problem. Just make sure you turn off mobile data to prevent unwanted airtime reduction, or just purchase bundled data.

Hi everyone I am planning on buying this Sony xperia E1 next week now i will like to know if there are any difficulties that i will come across...is it easy to download whatsapp and facebook,is my airtime wont be finished without doing anything because most of the people who are using touch screen phone are having that same poblem ...plz helpppp

Great little phone.. the problem I have with it, is that it lags after I've installed some apps.

Just bought it through snapdeal and update it to android 4.4.2 and its working marvellously very smooth and fast! Its camera is just a little bit bad but what you can ask in such a price range. B-). So guys who are looking forward to buy this phone go for it. :-)

i use this phone about 1 month, amazing phone.. beautiful design... great perform esspecially when i was upgrade it to kitkat... great.... never find a problm anymore..love this,...

Ok so it's been almost 2 months since I got my E1 and I'm pretty happy with it. JB had this random reboots and it was annoying. Now KK really fixes the issue and reboots are gone (99% gone). Performance is smooth and for the price its not half bad.
Mine came with bloatware from my carrier but thanks to xperiablog and XDA I was able to install a debranded UK version of KK update and its great.
I might stick with this phone for a while, until the next Moto E (Moto E+1 ??) comes out (if the price is right).

zanele, 20 Aug 2014yooooooooooo, i dont want this flippin fone anymore, wana c... moreLearn to use your phone. Disable Mobile Data but you wont get any update from any app (no whatsapp, no facebook, etc) unless you are connected to a WiFi AP (with internet access).
If you can't afford to be not connected on the street then get a data plan from your phone carrier and enable Mobile Data.
PD: You can also install AutoSync from play store, it allows you to auto-disable sync when not connected to WiFi.

1) Follow this link to learn how to get your own 4.4.2 update for your device. D2005 is the only with 4.4.2 update so far but its compatible with D2004.

Hi. Have just installed this update on my Mum’s phone. But the update automatically deleted the Facebook app & when we try to reinstall the FB app from Google Play, the phone responds with message of “incompatible application”.
Is anyone else having this issue ?

I loaded airtime, and it just chewed airtime without doing anything on the phone.. my sisters fiancee told me to load a data bundle on the phone instead of airtime, and yes, a data bundle works much better. But you can load airtime on the phone with the data bundle, and the airtime won't get used.. what would also help is, if you go to 'Settings', select 'Data usage', and switch off the 'Mobile data' - although if you do that, you won't get any Facebook updates.
