I want this to be answered by actual owners of this phone. Not someone who answers according to the official stats!

I bought it and after 8 days of very careful usage a dust particle inserted under the screen! Now my new phone is for service...
I have no words to describe my disappointment ...

I am using it for 10 days now ,it seems a great,great touch screen,superb camera and speed is good too.No issues for me.

Yes, it is true. The Xperia go with firmware version .162 has a network loss issue. I am using this phone, I experienced it myself.

Why the Sony R&D team is not giving front facing camera? now in android ICW operating system, front camera is must...it is for Gtalk function...does these people are doing these things purposely....The screen resolution is also below par, now simple phones are with 256 ppi resolution and Sony people are degrading their resolution... Why? We are waiting for such kind of phone (Robust, waterproof and It's Sony) and Sony people are keeping something less out-off good phone, If this kind of launches are there then we will shift out loyalty from Sony to other phones....If any Sony R&D person is listening please do something....

I've been tracking this fone since long... Read many many reviews on many diff sites... N from all dos, my collective opinion is dat d only 4 drawbacks r:
1)No 2ndary cam
2)Battery(not removable and slightly low on backup)
3)Slightly low on resolution, but heard dat bravia engine makes up 4 it.
4)D unlock button is on top, a bit uncomfy.
Apart from dese, i think dis is an awesome fone... esp for guys like me who has many bad xperiences like, lets just say it relates fone and toilet. :D
Luking fwd to buying dis fone soon. :)

heard the back cover s cheap... is it capable of handling occasional drops?? also the white ones gets scratches it seems...

Important! Need to get new phone very soon.
I want one that isn't massive (aka under 4.45"), but also very very reliable with reasonable battery life (so it lasts at least 30 hours with typical use). I would definitely prefer an Android 4.0. I'd also like panorama, smile detection & face detection on a fairly decent camera. I'd like good music and good sound. I need good mapping and directions. It needs to be fairly smooth loading and fast (doesn't need to be super speedy, but can't be average or slow). I'd love multi-touch. Was thinking about HTC One (X or S) or the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but they're pretty large. Then I thought about Nokia Lumia 800 or 900, but not sure they suit everything I need. I discovered the Sony Xperia - but there's the Go, U, S, P etc. so it's all a bit confusing!
Please could you help me? I am open to all suggestions. Thank you.

it does have a front camera for video call?.
