This phone is just TOO EXPENSIVE. You can buy Nexus 7 tablet for that money, some DVD's and a box of beer.
And mediocre hardware in 2012?
And its water or dust proof - for Chirst sakes, nobody swims with phone in pants.
Besides, EVERY closed box is rain or dust proof!

Hi,
Last week I bought Sony XPeria GO.
I am facing trouble on signal range. i.e. when I put my cell in mobile cover or in Pant's pocket, the range will gone and cross (x) sign is coming on range display. Range is fine for same network on another phone.
When I restart my phone, then it will work fine for some time.
Please advice what to do?

If you like small screens, compact and stylish smart phones then you should go for go. Ray is stylish but can't handle ics update well.

Jack, 30 Jul 2012How abt the camera quality? is it good in Xperia GO? Compared to all the other phones with 5MP cameras that I've tried this one's excellent. You can check out sample pictures and videos on youtube. The video quality is actually a lot better than photographs because it supports HD recording.

Android phones require some amount of intelligence from the user or you will end up having problems with the phone. Abi, you'd do better with an iphone.
The xperia go works great. Apart from the fact that its water proof and dust proof its dual core processors ensures smooth performance. You obviously need to keep an eye on your applications, but if you're cautious you wont have any problems and shouldn't worry at all. The camera's excellent, as compared to most other 5MP cameras, and video quality is brilliant.
The battery life is not bad for a smart phone. As with all smart phones, judicious use of apps and services like 3G, gaming, video recording, etc plays a huge role in battery life. The battery is decent - not much better than the other smart phones... Sony does offer a USB power backup though, so you can carry it along and charge your phone while you're traveling.
If the only complaints you have are about battery life, please stick to java phones.
